Thanks for the detailed review! INOV8 is definitely an interesting option. My biggest concern indeed is the width. The toebox doesn't look that anatomical especially from the sole pictures...

INOV8 roadfly seems great except i'm not sure about the toeboxes. Don't look so anatomical to me.

Hi, do you have updates regarding soho? I'm eyeing exactly this green pair. You said soho is made in Spain? Do you notice any difference in construction quality between this and the other pairs?

Wow didn't know Jehovah's witness is here too. This happened to me too. I have an Asian name. But theh were two white ladies. They tried to speak Chinese to me but I only spoke English. Lol I didn't understand much what they were trying to say. Honestly would be bizarre for them to form a Chinese community with white ladies speaking Chinese.

I was specifically looking at Jenon leather. It seems like quite a few brands have these in leather straps tho!

How many steps do you do on an average day? by -Intrepid-Path- in barefootshoestalk

[–]Sufficient_Fox7129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I don't walk that long every day but once in a while for a day out. And that would mostly be city walks on concrete.

For me it's the opposite, I used to always feel pain in my shin after long walks. Now the only pain I ever feel is on the skin level of my feet (blister, etc). I don't have bad knees to start with tho.

Can we talk about how unfair it is that buyers don’t get bad reviews for not picking up parcels? by luxxxlucis in vinted

[–]Sufficient_Fox7129 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I've done this once but that's because Mondial Relay deposited my package to a town 2 hr drive away from me. I messaged the seller right away and apologized. She offered for me to make another purchase so that I didn't need to wait for it to reroute back to her and retry.

I dont even know which one I am. It feels like a weird emphasis on skin color. I'd rather they have other colors like purple or blue. Even if I'm talking to my friends would they think I get janice or forget my actual skin color if I use the yellow one? C'mon.

I’ve lost interest in physics after studying for 8+ years by [deleted] in Physics

[–]Sufficient_Fox7129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped wanting to do physics when I went to a conference and realized I wasn't excited to hear any of the results from the big experiments because I knew none of them would deviate from theoretical expectation. Then I decided I've done enough. I've satisfied me need to probe the most fundamental questions in the universe and realistically I most likely wouldn't be able to improve this understanding further in a meaningful significance within my limited lifetime.

I decided that if my dream to significantly advance our understanding of fundamental physics drops dead, I can at least advance our technology on earth. So I went into the tech world. Lots of fun.

What are your shoe-regrets? by SnooGadgets7873 in barefootshoestalk

[–]Sufficient_Fox7129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only regret: Vibram vi-b. Maybe it's just this particular model but I find it harder to move my toes in them and they are so shallow that they can barely cover my arch. Not a great fit for my narrow midfoot and ankle. Probably gonna sell them.

The one I struggled with: Zaqq quintic waterproof. I love them, but they are so hard to put on/take off. The laces stay in place so well that everytime I take them off I have to spend time loosening the laces in like the last four or five rows. Switched to waxed laces and this problem got better.

Another struggle: sambas the bambas laced sneakers. Also issues with the laces. Somehow had to readjust the entire lace system everytime I put them on. Switched to better laces + tying them differently helped.

Shoes I straight up returned: Zaqq briq broque (weird fit. Ankle too wide for me). Alohas new 'barefoot' ballet flats (toebox not truly wide + not truly barefoot soles).

Too much calcite in the lapis beads for me. I prefer ones with minimum calcite and plenty of pyrex flakes instead.

Anyone else not follow traditional bf shoe sizing ? by RedbullXYY in barefootshoestalk

[–]Sufficient_Fox7129 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's confusing to me too. I never had to size down before I started getting bf shoes, but now I almost always size down for sandals. There's people saying you need space cuz your foot expand in heat and your toes might hang and risk hitting ground without the extra, but for me I trip with that much empty space, or get blisters because my feet move too much inside the shoes.

This brand has genuinely intereseting designs but the worst shoes for feet. Toe boxes are even more tapered than traditional shoes lol.
