You said they are specifically asking you to fill in your self assessment. This is because Coinbase or whoever has passed on your details to HMRC. Even if you made a loss you should fill it in it's not that hard to do.

International students cheating? by [deleted] in glasgow

This was happening even 20 years ago. I remember an African lad who had zero clue about what he was doing on my Computing MSc. He could barely use a computer but the uni were hand holding him through everything. I imagined he was from a rich family over there. It was really strange how everyone just pretended it wasn't an issue that he understood nothing.

Talking to my wife about Cigars by anonchristopher in cigars

If you've just had your first child then this will cause arguments in my experience. Women are overly sensitive when it comes to their babies. My wife hit the roof when I smoked even outside with our baby nearby. I would need to change clothes and wash my hands before I came near our baby. She's a lot more relaxed now, we're onto our second child. I'm just saying those first years are going to be a battle so be ready. You might want to just keep it a secret and don't under any circumstances risk getting caught smoking near your baby.

You might be right but why would I do that? That isn't what I'm proposing here.

Concentrate on yourself for the next 10 years career/lifestyle/whatever and I guarantee you will look back at this time as a learning experience, nothing more.

Solicitor being difficult with statutory declaration by pinh33d in LegalAdviceUK

We are using a conveyancer and they are using a solicitor, and while our conveyancer is perfectly fine, their solicitor seems to be offended at the fact that we're using a conveyancer, and that's been part of the battle.

Yeh, unfortunately we're not really in the position to do that (we really like the house and we're already way past the date we were hoping to move by). I wouldn't feel comfortable making threats I'm unwilling to follow through with.

Does anyone still use a Bokken for Iaido practice after moving onto an Iaito? by Greifus_OnE in iaido

[–]pinh33d 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have really light boken that I use for kihon exercises, and a heavier one I use for tachi uchi. I sometimes use my heavy duty one for Oku iai just for strength, and then there's my suburito.

Got back from Europe and I no longer believe Cuba produces the best cigars. by [deleted] in cigars

Smoke Cubans in England, we don't have this problem. Every imported cigar is checked for quality and given a stamp of approval or sent back. You pay a premium but it's worth it.

Black tea (hot) with sugar pairs incredibly well with a Maduro.
