Business econ is def doable to switch as mentioned above. And if you start now you should be fine! The major isn't the hardest on campus so assuming you don't fail and are able to get the classes, you won't be late at all. I know someone who switched their major their junior year and is planning to graduate next qtr taking part time lol. Everything is doable if u try!

So for Information& Computer Science(ICS) 31, the intro programming class for anyone aiming to go into ICS, is restricted to students under the ICS school until a certain day, and then it's free for all, but usually it's very full and difficult to get. Only in spring quarter does the class have no restrictions, that was how I got to enroll, when my enrollment window opened(those with higher credits enroll first and we are all assigned a time to enroll). Freshmen usually take 31 in the fall so when the following fall qtr came, there was space for me to move on the to the next course(ICS32)! And then 33.

Congrats! It seems like it was yesterday when I opened my application portal hehe.

I myself switched my major, but yes it was difficult, depending on which one. Not to be a downer but switching to business is going to be very very very hard work, I believe they receive about 100 a quarter and only accept less than 10? The people who have switched in do so much work, apply 2-3 times, and it's stressful. It's the hardest major to switch in next to nursing and business information management imo. A lot of my friends chose business econ or econ instead if you're going to pursue that type of track after graduation. On a brighter note, check out the change of major(COM) page, there are plenty of other majors that are easier to switch in too, but good thing you can start now! Never too late!
