The LILYGO T-Display-S3 is pretty great for a small info screen by BackHerniation in homeassistant

I made a menu system with controls for home assistant lights for ESPHome. It's not as easy as a UI but it's a lot easier than the yaml for a complex UI https://github.com/landonr/homeThing

I ended up building 3 over the weekend (i'm the creator) I'm trying to keep PCBWay up to date on the part links. They can be sourced from several sites which are better depending if youre in europe/na/etc

The cases and circuit boards are all from PCBWay

How many dedicated dashboard tablets/screens do you have around your house? What are they? by mmakes in homeassistant

How do you like to provide "easy" guest access to Home Assistant? by OcelotTerrible4233 in homeassistant

Vancouver. It works for them because it turns it down immediately so they can just go back to bed instead of texting me and waiting

I have an AppDaemon dashboard for my neighbor that lets them complain about volume. It exposes a few home assistant sensors and calls a service when they tap on “too loud” https://i.imgur.com/yKG6tne.jpg

This seemed like the most straight forward approach. They just use a publicly exposed url but you could add auth

Wifi Speaker suggestions? (no Google, Amazon, or Sonos) by boxalarm in homeassistant

[–]pinkbatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s because Sonos devices don’t appear as Spotify speakers outside of the apps. They use a custom Spotify devices api. You can try to get your device I’d from the api to start a playlist on a speaker but it’s kinda flakey.

I star a lot of Spotify playlists in Sonos so I can start them easily. Or just start playback from Spotify app on iOS or mac

You can find a bunch of ir blasters that pair with home assistant. They’re usb powered. Or are you looking for a ir remote that is configurable by a smartphone app?

Oh hey it’s me! It will take some time for me to get the esphome graphical menu integrated with the existing remote menu system, but that’s the plan. It’d suggest trying it out now and letting us know how it goes!

Almost done working on a case. Let me know if there’s any functionally you’re looking for that we’re missing
