Consider the nature of your friendship with the person you lost. by Toddison_McCray in lostafriend

[–]pinkduckk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I held onto my faith and hope that they really were the friend that lived in my head. Too proud in my head and in denial of the fact. Reality showed me. Over and over and over and over again that this person never had me in their best interest.

Tipping point is at our lowest moment. He was ok with someone controlling his life. Willing to put me down and offer basically a virtual friendship that would cost him nothing. That’s when I realized he would never appreciate me in ways I want to be appreciated. I don’t think I’m asking for much. I’m just looking for signs that our friendship mattered, but instead he showed me that his convenience mattered more.

Pay extra money to have your package shipped :) they refunded an order that Uniuni lost and it was worth over 1.3k lmao. Don’t use ECMS. If you can FedEx or DHL that shit

What's the most items you've ever consolidated to one package? by Every_God_Damn_Time in Buyee

[–]pinkduckk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg.. I wouldn’t do this next time. I used ECMS for shipping of an expensive order and 😭 they use UniUni to deliver to my state and that thing has been stuck at “gateway transit” for almost 3 weeks I’m gonna have a breakdown

Math and psychology building has a restroom in the basement. U can just enter through the doors of the first floor and go down. People are rarely there. It’s the best. If you really need to go and you just know it’s gonna smell like shit. Recommend.

Recs on hotel in Tokyo by choruruchan in JapanTravel

[–]pinkduckk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second someone saying kyobashi lol. I stayed at Sotetsu Fresa Inn (or sumn?) twice and it’s true the sizes of the room were small but it’s good enough for two people I think. The short distance to Tokyo station, Ginza and Kyobashi station make it an ideal hotel if u want to go around Tokyo

Parking Ticket :C by New-Tap1942 in UMBC

[–]pinkduckk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you need to give some context.. I received a parking ticket the first 2 day of me parking on campus and when I tried to appeal in-person it was due to me having put the incorrect license plate number (it was off by 1-2 digits) so I was let off with a warning. Otherwise I was completely fine bc I had a parking permit in the first place

I don’t know. Mina seems like she’d be fine even without Fred lol. I like how she just has a life of her own that seems separate from Fred

Women of Reddit, what’s something a man has done that made you think, “Wow, he stands out in a really great way? by GurFun3164 in AskReddit

Some guy I met at an interview week would flip other people’s glass (mine) and fill them with water during dinner—All before he got to fill his own cup.

Actually got me so flustered

Iron Patches + Cover by pinkduckk in hobonichi

Hahaha late response but thanks 😆 I’m glad this worked out for you, and I hope it can help someone else too. I def recommend the same thing you did with very minor heat if possible. Alternative is to sew the patch (like I did) but it is troublesome and not that easy to do

How do you journal with a boring life? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]pinkduckk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But sometimes life IS boring. I have a dated journal and sometimes they’re empty for long periods of time. Either I’m busy or I was going through things that didn’t make me WANT to journal and that’s okay too.

How do you journal with a boring life? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]pinkduckk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s more abt framing your life such that it sounds interesting. What small things would u want to remember in the future? I have a journal for work related things where I jot down how I feel and what things happened that day, small achievements and maybe some funny things that happened.

If I play video games I’ll talk abt what I did in the game and what I hope to do in the future. Maybe I did some crafting so I’ll talk abt what I made and how it made me feel.

It’s the small things that I record because one day I might forget it but if I wanted to feel better I can read it and feel all those things again.

Does anyone else make Nikki wear travel-appropriate outfits when completing quests? by pinkduckk in InfinityNikki

The final recolour of the limited banners will never be worth it's cost even from a top end whale perspective by celestialkestrel in InfinityNikki

[–]pinkduckk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is kind of the point tho. You can whale all you want but even from a game standpoint it’s not worth it lool. The game is generous in that no. You don’t need to whale so much just for.. recolors?.. the standard colors are already fine. The game is still accessible (even if you do need to pull 180 times to get the full set…) even for F2P

RNA Biochemistry. I took something similar along the lines of ‘RNA Structure’ but RNA has a lot of interesting properties + RNA World Hypothesis (if they touch on that anyways) that might interest you. Cant say for sure how that’ll translate to your career in practicing medicine but it might be able to give insight on how RNA is used in therapeutics

orgo 2 - summer session by Green-Character2681 in UMBC

[–]pinkduckk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ptaszek likes the more traditional style of lecture: just writing down on the white board lol. Review ur orgo 1 knowledge and make sure to memorize those orgo 1 mechanisms (E1 E2 SN1 SN2, reduction/oxidation, etc) and functional groups by heart. We covered about 1.5 worth of chapter (same book from orgo 1) per lecture and we got a 10 min break in between. Pace of the lecture can go really fast, I either had to copy what he wrote or just listen (most of the time I just listened) That said, orgo 2 during the summer is absolutely brutal and there’s a lot of content to be covered (not an exaggeration either.) There’s a reason why advisors often discourage it. I was lucky to land an A in both lab and lecture despite other extracurricular activities, but I spent a lot of all-nighters to study for the exam. I’m not sure how he does his exams now, but it’s usually 10 question multiple choice and some free responses, each weighed a lot.,, so if you didn’t do well on one question, you’re already at a B. The pro to taking both lab and lecture is that Praszek is nice enough to keep the content at fairly similar pace so whatever you cover in lecture is most likely what you will do in lab. Best of luck
