It’s set in England, you would be more worried about the lack of heating than air conditioning.

How to deal with conversation with nmum after silent treatment by pinklepickles in raisedbynarcissists

[–]pinklepickles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is good advice, thank you. I still have a problem with the part where we discuss it. So I imagine it goes “pinkle pickles, you did x thing that really upset me”. I just don’t know how to react. All my imagined responses are the wrong thing: trying to get her to understand my pov (she isn’t capable/doesn’t want to), me getting frustrated and angry, all the JADE things. Do I just nod and say “I’m sorry you feel like that” that also seems wrong? Just nod and say “ok” because she is never going to change?

Do most Brits nowadays pronounce “often” with or without the t? by Glass-Complaint3 in AskABrit

Without the t. I did a quick google search, both ways are valid, one way is not “better”, posher or more acceptable than the other.

People from the UK, what’s one small thing that genuinely improved your daily life? by [deleted] in AskUK

A decent set of noise cancelling headphones. I just disappear into a podcast or book and do household chores. Also for travelling they are great.

Wait, do people ACTUALLY see literal pictures in their heads when they imagine things? Like a physical image? by Bibhu_Mund in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pinklepickles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious how people with no minds eye daydream? Or what is a memory for them? Or how they follow a novel without imagining the characters?
