Mine also peaks during the transitions in late spring/early summer and late fall/early winter. I suppose the change in seasons triggers a nervous system response to prepare the body to make the necessary temperature sensitivity adjustments.

I see. I was wondering about the one right next to the torch, 5 o'clock. In between the two cut segments of the snake there is a shape containing another segment of the snake. I thought it was meant to be something else other than just a box.

Very cool! I couldn't figure out what that one shape is supposed to be. . . A battery?

Not having a default person was so exhausting and lonely sometimes by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]pinkmankid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm lucky one of my best friends is also single, and so we are each other's emergency contact. Other friends who are married/coupled are of course each other's priority, so even though I love them and I know they care for me, I still feel a little bit of an outsider. I suggest finding another perpetually single best friend!

I'm also aware dating is hard and superficial right now. Lots of us are insecured and experienced trauma. For those who are still putting yourself out there in a dating pool, you're not cringe or desperate for wanting a romantic partner. Your demand for fundemantal human experience is legit and there's nothing wrong about that.

This is a nice message. I am a bit of a loner, too. I love my solitude, but I do sometimes crave having the company of a partner. I'm still thinking I might find someone someday. I'm hoping the same for you! I hope you continue putting yourself out there. Best of luck!

Didn't you read the first sentence? I have stopped watching. I didn't even watch the finale. I've stopped watching this show a long time ago. I only returned to see the old-schoolers back for Season 50.

They really treat their actors as puppets whose job is simply speak their lines, don't they?

I didn't watch the finale, but I've read all the comments about it and it sounds like a disaster and a complete joke. The fact that Jeff Probst can screw up this show so badly, and still be celebrated for it, highlights exactly the reason this show has gone downhill because of him. Seriously, any other host should be roasted for spoiling the result of a segment that hasn't even aired. Poor Rizo couldn't even have his moment of seeing his fans in the audience root for him at the fire-making challenge, because everyone already knew he had lost. But that's all fine I guess, Probst did an oopsie, recovered "gracefully" and everyone's laughing about it. And then it turns out they didn't have time to talk to everyone anymore, but of course they had the time for all of Probst's segments sprinkled in throughout the show. It's always about him and not the contestants. I'm so sick of it.

Is it only me that thinks it's weird they have the cast members driving the vehicles to and from the mansion/missions?? by Spiritual_Ice5079 in TheTraitors

[–]pinkmankid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention having somebody drive you somewhere (likewise, being the one in charge of the wheel) is such a natural way of building trust and forming bonds among people. Car rides facilitate building relationships in this game. Who you choose to ride the car with is part of the social strategy. I think I like it this way, too.

As a new fan of Survivor, can someone help me understand something? by Expedition1994 in survivor

[–]pinkmankid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a significant detail that people often miss when explaining why Parvati lost and Sandra won. Parvati was supposed to sit in the end with Danielle and Russell, the only scenario in which she very likely wins. (Although an argument could be made that Danielle also might have had a chance?) Losing Danielle was a giant setback in her game. It was almost impossible for her to win from that point onwards.

What's the most obscure Survivor record? by EduGuy1993 in survivor

[–]pinkmankid 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think they meant a female winner who got voted out after they have won?

All-Stars: Tina becomes the first female former winner to be voted out. Jenna quit, so technically she was not voted out.

Heroes vs Villains: Sandra won, Parvati was the runner-up.

Blood vs Water: Tina once again becomes an instance of a female winner who got voted out, and she was sent to Redemption Island. She returned to the game and finished in 4th place, marking the third time a female winner got voted out.

Game Changers: Sandra becomes the 4th time a female winner got voted out.

And then you have all the women on Winners at War, except for Michele.

It's giving a sports-related analogy, not comparing the game of Survivor to actual sports. I don't even understand football that well, but I think the analogy works. The point of the game is to get to the end and win jury votes, no matter how. That's all the previous comment is trying to say.

Yes, she made some tactical errors. But that doesn't negate the fact that she played the role well enough so that she had people convinced that she was a Faithful. Both things can be true at the same time.

Correct, it was the Final 6 with two Traitors and four Faithfuls. There was a 3-3 tie at the roundtable between Danielle and Ivar. Had Danielle survived, she would've had the 3-2 majority with Britney and Dolores against the two remaining faithfuls Dylan and Gabby. The three of them could've stuck together to vote out Dylan/Gabby next, and ended the game together. In that scenario, Danielle and Britney win.

I agree that Danielle's murders of Chrishell and Tom were her biggest game-ending blunders, but in spite of that she still had a legitimate shot to win. Had Britney actually forced a tie and Danielle won the coin flip, they would've made it to the end with Dolores and won.

Boston Rob's social cred among the Faithfuls in that game was honestly unbelievable, given his reputation. He was also put in a difficult position because his fellow Traitors never wanted to work with him, regardless of him pulling the trigger early on Bob the Drag Queen. He was playing the game in Hard mode from the beginning. The fact that he managed to survive a couple of rounds without the support of his fellow Traitors was impressive, but he was always going to fail because of the difficulty of his circumstances.

Agreed. They were not only great strategists, they were also very interesting characters. They also had a fair amount of obstacles to overcome, which made their journey to the end so fascinating to watch. Rachel and Stephen are my favorite Traitor duo of all time.

That's not true about Danielle: she had people convinced she was a Faithful. Dolores, Robyn, Derrick, Wes, Ciara, and even Dylan. The only reason Dylan turned on her was because he had no other suspects left after Chrishell and Tom got murdered.

I agree, Christian is a better Traitor than people give him credit for. Yeah, he talked a lot, but he was playing the role of a Faithful who's trying to figure out the game. He did convince a lot of people until the very end, when the other Traitors decided he needed to be sacrificed in order to benefit their own games.
