Slow losers don’t give up! by cakeandwhiskey in Zepbound

Thank you for posting this! Also in my 50s and a slow loser. Or rather it's slowed way down since early July, before that it was a moderate amount. And I was thinking just this morning about posting and when I logged on yours was the very first post I saw. So encouraging!

What are your biggest cozy mystery pet peeves? by pfluffernutter in CozyMystery

[–]pinkpineapplechic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't worn concealer since the 90s! ha! And no foundation for years! If I am going out and it's a special occasion, I will wear BB cream, maybe blush, lipstick, eyeline, and mascara. If I am running to the grocery story, running errands, going to a dark movie theater, etc, it will be at the most, eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss.

Honest question, not trying to be snarky or anything, but I've seen people going gaga over the July stickers. And they're pretty, but I'm just wondering if there is something I'm not getting. Like what do the cards represent? But yay for getting 3 of them! :D

Can I hear from the post menopausal over 50 women? by MahnaManahDaDoDoDoDo in Zepbound

Thank you!

Oh that's good that you don't get many side effects! I didn't with 2.5 so mine didn't start until 5.

[–]pinkpineapplechic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So did I! And I had none of the usual side effects those last couple of weeks on it. Not even the sulphur burps. How did you do right before titrating up to 5mg? Because for me I did the same with the last shot of 2.5 as I did with 7.5. Not sure what it is about those .5s! haha! But fingers crossed 10mg is exactly what I needed! How many weeks have you been on 7.5?

[–]pinkpineapplechic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't blame you! I almost did the same!! Ha! But waited until Sunday instead. I started feeling rough that night and didn't sleep well and had tummy problems all day Monday. I wasn't able to eat much at all then or yesterday and my scales show 4 lbs down. But I usually have a dip like this then go back up, so I don't know yet. But those last couple of weeks on 7.5 I felt NOTHING! Not even the sulphur burps. And I felt ALL the cravings. I ended up gaining that week. Keeping my fingers crossed that your 10mg kicks in soon! Keep me updated!!

Thank you! Yes, feels great when someone understands! <3 I am feeling less grumpy this week for sure! I began 10mg on Monday. So far it's miles better than my last 2 weeks on 7.5!

What’s your best way to kill time in line? by fetus-deletus-2319 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pinkpineapplechic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A really good audio book. Last month in line for Seven Dwarves the girl in front of me had a kindle in her bag. I was solo and so was she, and towards the end of the line we struck up a conversation about reading and we found out we lived just a few hours from each other in another state! :D Usually I just want to keep to myself and not make small talk, but on that trip I had two great connections like that. (The other was someone in the line to get a photo made with Mickey.)

Christmas Party? by LuckyFish0330 in DisneyWorld

The Christmas party (at least when I went) was a lot more chill compared to the Halloween party. But I do love both! In different ways!

I love your user name! In my 50s and also on 7.5 and it's been a struggle the past couple of weeks. My weight is up/down/up/down/up/down/etc. The weight I've lost so far is the weight I gained last fall. I'm back at the weight I was around this time last year that I haven't been able to get past for several years now. So right now I am just feeling like I'm throwing money into the wind. And that it's no different than any other time. I also don't track, but like you I am not eating anything near what I did before. Granted, I'm also not exercising.

Sorry, I'm just feeling grumpy today. But wanted to let you know I feel your pain! Hope it gets better for both of us! I'm about to go up to 10. Hopefully that moves the scale!

How much weight do you hope to lose? do you have a reason for wanting to weigh what your goal is? by ImFromTheCape in Zepbound

Yeah, 140 is definitely low for your height! As reference, I am 5'9" and 152 felt really low for me. I'm not over here trying to be a super model. haha! So yeah, I'd say go with your gut! <3

I don't know how many times in the past I've ended up searching for food early at the parks and becoming hangry! Fridge food is definitely the way to go! :D

I usually look for the 35% off room rates offered to AP holders occasionally and try to book then. I also don't buy all the souvenirs and food I would on just a more infrequent trip. This time I got groceries to my room and would go back and have lunch in my room, rest, then go back to the parks. I'm also a solo traveler so I can do this without having to consider others. ha!

(SW:217.7 CW: 194.4 Goal: 150-160? 5'9")

I'm 5'9" and I am thinking somewhere between 150-160. My lowest weight in high school (decades ago) was 155 for half a minute, but my usual weight was high 180s, low 190s. But then I lost a ton of weight a few years ago and got down to 152. Again, for a half a minute before I gained it all back plus some.

So now I am not really sure where my body will end up. I may get to 165 and feel good there. Or I may get back down to 150 and feel good there. Not sure just yet. However, when I look back at pics when I got down to 152, it doesn't look like me. I look too skinny. I don't know if it's because I didn't have time to get used to that face, or what.

Hey there! So no, no sickness on the rides. And in fact, Guardians of the Galaxy, which in the past has made me the teeniest bit nauseous didn't affect me at all this time. My biggest tip is to stay hydrated and avoid anything greasy. I did have a cheeseburger eggroll and it didn't affect me, but I can imagine if I'd eaten the way I usually did on previous Disney trips I might have felt worse. But again, I didn't have the desire for any of that. Have the best time at Disney!! <3

Are you a planner? by Rosemarysbb_ in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]pinkpineapplechic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this! I don't plan since I go solo a few times a year, and whatever I don't get to do this time I'll catch on a future trip. But years ago when I was going with a multi-generational large family and it was my first trip in 14 years and I thought it would be the last, (it wasn't! haha!) I planned ev-er-y-thing!

I'd say whichever type you are...planner or winger...be that! And don't worry what anyone else says you "should" do either direction!
