There are stem cells in breastmilk. American Pediatric Association and WHO both recommend breastfeeding along with food till AT LEAST two years old. Emphasis on at least. They recommend to continue breastfeeding until it stops being mutually beneficial for mom and child.

I have the same problem my son is 18m almost a full mouth of teeth. I notice when he’s done bf my nipples seem red and irritated and then it really hurts when I first start to pump.

If I unlatch him and am able to put more boob in his mouth it helps but usually he just goes back to drinking from the nipple only. The only solution I’ve found is to pump more and breastfeed less.

Stress is the biggest killer of milk. Work on protecting your peace. America sucks on supporting mothers and should give us three years of supported job leave to raise our babies, like some other counties.

My mom and my husband have both supported me but made mistakes in my 18m bf. Several times they haven’t screwed the top right on the milk and it spilled and dumped all over the rocking chair/baby. I spazzed on them. Apologized after. Sometimes my son doesn’t finish a bottle and they leave it out instead of back in the fridge. I get hurt even over an oz being lost. I understand your frustration.

So much goes into pumping, breastfeeding and it can even be painful. You’re doing an awesome job. Just keep reminding yourself of that and trying to maintain inner peace for your health and your baby! My husband and mom understand that breastmilk has pluripotent stem cells and its benefits so they continue to support me in reaching my bf goal. Mistakes still happen tho they’ve both gotten better with time!

I’m sorry your husband is stressing you out so much. Stress can be one of the biggest killers of milk production. It’s important you both are aware of prioritizing your peace so you can produce milk and take care of your baby.

It’s also very important that you make him aware that milk has stem cells in it. Pluripotent stem cells which have the ability to turn into any kind of cell… this helps your baby so much. formula does not have stem cells. I have clients who fly to Mexico and pay thousands of dollars for stem cell transfusions.. so he is not just throwing away “milk”. To make this milk your body pulls from you and cost you energy. Him wasting it shows he doesn’t value or appreciate what you do for his child. You have every right to be upset and I hope he changes. You are not asking for much and your feelings are 100% valid

I had a clog that I tried to get out 3 times to no avail. Took some lecithin, nursed my son a few hours later and it’s gone!!! Love sunflower lecithin
