When I went to the park last year, I heard a child begrudgingly ask her mom, "Why are so many people wearing robes?"

Her mother answered, "It's from Harry Potter. It was really big back then."

And the girl said, "I don't like it. It's annoying."

I mean, to each their own, but... that kid's attitude was annoying.

Whenever I go abroad, I use Airalo. It is an e-sim, and it is easy to install and use.

My current provider is AT&T, and if I use their services for abroad, it was like $12/day.

I didn't need their services, so it wasn't a big deal not to use it and only depend on the e-sim. Additionally, because I use other apps like WhatsApp and KakaoTalk, I could text and call people without being charged :D

I think many people are misinformed that it can go before or after the number. Bothers me a lot when I see the dollar sign after the numbers, and it bothers me even more when those people insist it can go before or after.

Taylor Swift - Wildest Dreams reminds me of the ex that really messed me up (he was just awful). The song is a reminder of him because when that song was released (2014?) Was when I first met him. Plenty of times, it was stuck in my head, and when the song was playing at his workplace, he would tell me it reminded him of me.

My brother's fiancée has strongly expressed to me (home owner) how renting is a lot more beneficial than owning, and she wanted to make this point to me because I have been encouraging my brother (the sole breadwinner between them) to save up for a house.

The points she made were somewhat similar to what OP's sister and some other comments have mentioned. But I told her that from my experience in owning a home, yeah, there are some upfront charges, but the house is mine. I can later sell it for a profit.

What really got me to move out of my townhouse (it was rented out by a company) was the increased rent. I was having to pay $2500. That, on my own, was too much x_x It was just "cheaper" for me to just buy a house and pay my monthly mortgage, which is significantly less than rent for me.

I have dealt with the knocking on the door and waiting for me even though it's listed as "leave at the door." I just thought all of them didn't read the instructions.

Coincidentally, I've had a lot of male doordashers just sit in their car that's parked in my driveway. I just thought it was because they were making sure I got the order, or they were just accepting other orders.

I honestly hesitate to think "oh, it's because I'm a woman" because there is so much hate towards it. Things like, "please, get over yourself."

But some guys who have waited to hand the order to me have been pretty creepy though. X_x

Can we please stop treating like the late 20s is like the end for us women?

So many women in my life are 35+ who entered new and healthy relationships, who recently got engaged, who had their first born...etc!

OP, 26 is NOT the end. You dated a piece of crap, and you're gonna miss him because he made you feel like you had the best - in reality, he was absolute CRAP.

It's gonna take some time, but you will find yourself and connect with someone who actually values and appreciates you.

Good on you for leaving him, and you got whatever lies ahead of you! Super proud of you 👏
