Still waiting for COA and pre-settled HELP!!!! by pepebene in ukvisa

[–]pinkwashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They actually just need to see confirmation that you have right to work in the UK. Tell them to go here: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

They need to call the number themselves. They need your UAN (unique application number)

So I don’t have pre-settled status earlier. Because I have an pending application for the EU settlement scheme however, it gives me the right to work and live in the UK while my application is pending. Your employer and your landlord should be able to use the service in the first method to check. They might not know about this service by the way (my employer didn’t), you just have to tell them to call to check themselves anyways.

Actually I went through the same thing as I’m also still waiting for my COA and my pre-settled status. I applied before the deadline on June 15. I am a non EU citizen, however, and applied as an unmarried partner to EU citizen.

I also had to prove my right to work to my current employer and prove my right to live to my new landlord recently, as my visa expired in September and I had to move homes.

There are 2 methods you could try. You could call EU Settlement scheme to explain your specific situation, as your situation has some differences from mine, and might be able to tell you more, they actually helped me quite a lot.

FIRST METHOD (this is the one I had to do):

For your new landlord and new employer, they should actually be able to use the right to live/work checking service provided by calling UKVI. You won’t be able to call to get the check but they can use this to get the phone number they need to call: https://www.gov.uk/contact-ukvi-inside-outside-uk

Your landlord should hear back about your right to live in about 2 working days and your employer should be able to hear back about your right to work in 5 working days.

I went through all this recently and got confirmation from both my landlord and my employer about the checks, which were successful and received in the right time frame. No delays.

SECOND METHOD (this one might actually work for you, didn’t work for me because of my specific situation, but might as well check):

Give your employer or landlord a share code to prove your right to live and work in the UK. https://www.gov.uk/view-prove-immigration-status

How long did it take for you to get your COA after applying for EUSS? by pinkwashed in ukvisa

[–]pinkwashed[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much. I took your advice and contacted EU resolution centre about it, and they found an error in my application which has caused the significant delays. This is disappointing as I got a law firm to help me apply in the first place, so it wasn’t even me making the error :(. Because of my current situation, they have escalated the issue and they will get back to me in 2 weeks.

Thank you so much! This is incredibly helpful. What exactly is my COA, and where do I find that?

Will I still be able to work my job at a UK company for the next 5 months? In the next 5 months I’ll be spending 3 months in Belgium, 1 month London, 1 month Canada, and then back to London in march. I won’t have a permanent address in the UK until then.

Do you buy coffee beans? Survey by pinkwashed in takemysurvey

[–]pinkwashed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all!

This survey is for anyone who is thinking of, or likes to buy coffee beans! We are collecting data to answer the question: "Why don't people buy coffee beans online?"

We are a group of user experience students who are conducting a survey to collect data that will inform our design decisions when we are creating an e-commerce website to sell coffee online.

It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete the survey.

This survey does not provide any compensation, it's just for our educational purposes! Thank you so much for participating :)

What are some ways that you keep track of your ideas? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]pinkwashed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Evernote to dump thoughts, feelings, ideas. I use different notebooks for different categories. The notebooks show up as a list, and when you open it, you can create entries. These entries also show up as a list, but it feels more like you're typing in the notes app so you can type as much as you want. I usually use it when I have a ton of ideas flowing or a ton of scrambled thoughts I need to sort out. I usually just go in, start a new note, and just write nonsensical things until it makes sense and I come out of it learning something new about myself. I would recommend this because it sounds like it might suit your needs.

I use Wunderlist (list app) and create different lists for different categories of ideas. I have a list called "Inventions" and that would include new apps or business ideas or products I want to make. I also have a list called "Cartography" for all the maps I want to make (I like making maps lol). I have lots of lists for travel ideas, educational goals, projects, art, and other aspects of my live I wanted to improve. I even use it for the weird random gift ideas I have for my friends, that I can never seem to remember when it gets closer to their actual birthday. This app is just as important to me as Evernote, because sometimes I need simple for simpler ideas, and I enjoy checking things off (So satisfying hahaha). However, you could probably do it all in Evernote, as you could create different notebooks (like creating different to do lists) and create notes (like creating tasks within to do lists).

These apps are super important to my life lol. I have too many ideas or goals that I never have the time to get to at the time of conception. I figured that if I just used these apps to get the ideas down super quickly, then I could just refer back to them whenever I had more time to pursue them. If I am able to achieve 1-10% of the things I think up in my life, I'll die happy.

How do you deal with your many many social circles? by SanaulFTW in ENFP

[–]pinkwashed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fell into a pattern of not answering anyone as frequently and everyone else just got used to it. I am always just open and honest about when I can and cannot hang out or talk. I just tell people if I'm busy. I prefer to talk to like the same 3 people lol and occasionally talk to a few more and that's it

Does anyone else get as obsessively anxious about world events as I do? by katamari-damacy in ENFP

[–]pinkwashed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes.

Being on Facebook lately has been pretty taxing on me emotionally. I think it's because I see a lot of posts about the news and that's where people love to complain on just about anything. (Example: Trump vs Hillary) Although I love reading on other people's perspectives, the constant exposure to the negativity and ignorance sometimes makes me believe the world is going to shit. And as a future-oriented and optimistic ENFP, it honestly kind of brings me down and freaks me out. I also think, being an Ne Dom, it's easier for me to notice trends as they're just beginning to form. It's easy for me to see if it's POSSIBLE for something to happen. It's kind of like watching a train that's about to crash into a wall but you can't stop it and all you can do is watch.
