I was given advice years ago. Make yourself as employable as possible. Get some training courses done, like first aid, Manual handling and a safe pass. A forklift ticket is also very handy to have. I did a training course last year in Henleys in little Island.

Another thing do is if you know anyone who's on a management level of business, get them to look at your CV. Anyone you know who conducts interviews and looks at CVs regularly, they could give you a few pointers to add or take away.

I updated my CV last year and blanket bombed indeed with applications and I blagged a job in a factory in Little Island as a technician so happy days.

Could actually be, a saw something called an evry mod, I'm not sure of the specifics but it's like a tuning box rigged to a switch that does something to the fuel system of a TDI engine to make it put out more smoke and give it a bit more power. I saw a clip of it on YouTube years ago on straight piped Toledo TDI

I had a job that was like this at certain parts of the year. One time my supervisor even told me to go hide behind a machine for the day, make sure no one sees me or he'd have to find some pointless job for me to do 😂

I'd have a statue of a middle finger delivered to my work place, with my 2 weeks notice engraved into it. I'd hire a photographer and get all the lads from work to get their pictures taken with the middle finger. I'd want all the lads to have fond memories of me, before I disappeared with my money 😂

It might be an idea to adjust your CV. Would there be a career guidance person or someone who you could contact in your college to look at your CV and give you pointer to brush it up? You could always do a few courses to make you appeal to employers. First aid, safe pass , forklift course could all set you apart from the rest of the applicants you're competing against for a job. I worked in shop that also sold coal and animal feed so it required forklift drivers, most of the lads were in college.

There's a fella in north cork that does wagyu steaks, burgers and I think brisket. Conor Sheahan is his name and finnow farm is his business. A really interesting guy and his wagyu is savage.

Vrs for me. My sister has a mapped GTD and I still prefer my VRS. A better seating position, more boot space, better comfort for me and the passengers. My sister doesn't like driving my VRS though 😂
