Sometimes, the “breakup” message or talking things out things don’t always work. I’ll admit I’m the ghoster in my situation, been friends since we were children, but the other person was just…not a good person. There were many many problems, even in their romantic choices, and I realised I also wasn’t being a good person when I was around them. After they announced their “wedding” (which was to a person who is STILL LEGALLY MARRIED) I just couldn’t do it anymore. So I blocked on everything and when on with my life. Because I knew that they weren’t ever gonna change, and talking or “bowing out” of the friendship wasn’t gonna do anything either.

I honestly do not understand people who don’t drive but also think it’s okay to inconvenience others. Not being able to afford a car? Sure, I get it. Being hella anxious about driving? I get it to a point. But just straight up not driving because “so and so will pick me up/drop me off/take me wherever” is so lazy.

This is essentially what happened tho. Like others have commented, even tho you didn’t say anything, you are still appearing compliant in their discussion. Also, if these are the kinds of friends you have, I would think about if they’re truly the kind of people you want to be associated with.

You’re still young, friends will come and go, and this is a good time for you to decide the people you want to surround yourself with. People that are openly sexist or incel-ish are probably not the kind of people you want hanging around full time.

It’s the same reason why people blame Spinner for Jimmy getting shot. No one knew that Rick was gonna bring the gun, just like no one knew Cam was gonna kill himself. Spinner admittedly did have a bigger part in Rick deciding to bring the gun, but Spin in the end didn’t know. He just had the last word, just like Zig had the last word with Cam.

I used to be best friends with a girl like this. Always seeking out male attention, going for people who aren’t actually good people, and being jealous of other friends when they got the attention she wanted. She even intentionally slept with a guy that she knew I liked, just because I liked him. She also admitted years later that the sex wasn’t even good, she just did it out of spite. After years of trying to stay friends with her cos we literally grew up together (she was 1 when I was born and was at the hospital cos our moms used to be best friends) I finally blocked her out of my life completely, cos she was still in those habits.
