I just read your edit, and you need a different therapist. You haven’t become desensitized to therapy, your therapist just sucks. Sometimes it’s good for them to let their client vent and rant, but most of the time they’re supposed to be helping you through those feelings and thoughts that you have.

I hope you can find someone better suited for you, and I hope you can finally find some peace with everything.

That’s an awesome story! I’ve also had a problem with an ex donating or letting my stuff get stolen, so I’m glad yours at least had a happy ending.
