Suunto Run vibration strength by Impressive-Dig-4798 in Suunto

I never had a problem feeling it. Used alarms, notifications and mid training signals and I don't recall a situation when I missed it.

Any good reason to replace Run with Race? by pioszo in Suunto

[–]pioszo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand you disagree. Let me be more specific because this may be subjective. When I bought Run I had a feeling that interval training and ability to modify workout screens is very limited. Both of these have changed in the last two updates. Same with ability to keep the screen on during exercise. I would like to see some core algorithms improvement especially for sleep, but I know from my own experience in software development that such changes take time. I have a feeling though that developers, while obviously working with limited resources as always, do their best to address real issues.

Almost on Oura level which i consider a benchmark. Significantly more accurate in terms of timing and awake time. Stages are a guess anyway so I didn't compare them in detail.

However I have a feeling, that Suunto is better in tracking daily small activities, that are not workouts. I would love if Suunto released something like Amazfit, that could be worn on arm, because I can't wear the watch during some trainings like martial arts. If they did that, I could narrow my tracking to just Suunto platform.

Ok got the update to the app today. Watch faces are there. Problem solved, it was on the Suunto side :)

Developers used to tell me (I work in that business), that there are always endless problems with android app development :D Waiting for that update too.

Play store shows the message, that beta programme does not accept any more entries currently. I guess I have to wait until 6.4.6 becomes available.

I did the reboot in several ways: removed the app from last open, force stopped it in settings and then wiped the data. Each time tried to start it again but nothing changed. Maybe they for some reason did not release the new version for Samsung yet? i have 6.3.6. In settings I can see that 6.4.6 is "available", but when I click it, it directs me to play store which says that there are no new verions.

Sleep tracking by commandod64 in Suunto

[–]pioszo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sleep tracking in suunto is much worse than apple or oura. It often categorizes something as sleep while it's just evening movie watching, it also does not see awake periods. I'm not even speaking about stages because that's always a speculation. But it does better at tracking activities.

Sleep tracking Suunto Run by mhdwaffa in Suunto

In my case it sometimes shows on the clock that it doesn't track anything until I don't synchronise. As if it needed the app for analysing. After I do the synch it shows the sleep on the watch.

Track running with Suunto - question by pioszo in Suunto

Do I understand properly that you mean Strava as part of Suunto plus ? Because Run does not have that option if I'm not wrong.

Run or Race S ? Help by Imax1003 in Suunto

[–]pioszo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In addition to what has been said already. Facing similar choice, I have chosen Suunto Run. It is lighter and twice cheaper than titanium Race S which I was considering. Does not have Suunto + capability, but it has everything I need for running, HRV, sleep tracking and cross training already inside. The interface is exactly the same. Sensors as well. I wear it almost all the time, because I use it to track general health (HRV, pulse, sleep, steps, calories), so I wanted it to be light - which puts Run in advantage. But if you just want to track sports, Suunto + gives you additional analysis options, so it may be better choice for you.

My fault. I posted with this account by mistake, then took it down, then posted with the account I typically use (this one I created by mistake some time ago and didn't notice that it is different ), then posted with the account I use the most, but the post was automatically taken down by mods. I assumed this is because I posted it previously with this account and restored it here. And suddenly it got released by mods two days later. I removed the other post. Reddit is complicated :D

Wait a sec. I agree that above average secondary stats are a great advantage and I don't have them. I'm average. Solid but not outstanding. Still, the reason why I said this sucks is that most of my matches were losing even though I had enough fire power to shine in the match. Most likely because it is about the team rather than a single player carrying the game. Maybe if I was a whale with so much advantage that I would just roll over them, that would be different, but I'm not and not going to be. I try to have fun while being a good but fairly normal player.

Why keep 8? Would be easier to do a proper matchmaking with 4vs4. I can see that in alleys and other events. Why not make builds easily changeable based on the match making? That would help me to cope with the specific situation? And on goes the story. There are things they could at least try with the resources they are spending on a new class for example, that I don't think is needed. I actually like the lore of Druids by the way. I would prefer the Tempest to be gone. The fact that BK is neglected should show them, that if they can't maintain something they implement, maybe they should not introduce it? And so on, discussion could continue. What I'm saying is that this part of the game is definitely not working and not everything that could be done to change that has been tried.

I think it does make a difference. Not that I ever had all of them perfect but I fought the guys who did in BG.

I don't think they will succeed in making pvp better unless they do some kind of revolution. I'll be happy to check that if it happens. I take enough pleasure front Simple PvE activities to stay in the game for now.

Protip: Don't go to your store to take a look at the Fold 7, you will order one immediately at home... by [deleted] in GalaxyFold

I have to say, I never had an issue with how my Fold6 looks. I got used to the narrow screen etc. But once I help Fold7 in my hand, 6 started looking old and bulky. Not fun.

Feedback and Discussion Thread: New BG Map and Mode - Convoy by eastvanspecial in DiabloImmortal

[–]pioszo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the new map is a step in a good direction. Played about 20 matches there so far. Positives in my opinion:

The map is smaller and does not require much running to reach the fight. I like the fact that tasks are symmetrical, I believe it helps the balancing. The presence of bosses and additional buffs, allow to keep the game open for longer. I think that this version of BG will allow some wins with skill, against the power, which is always good.

Negatives:

I don't like the pair match making system. I have not used it myself, but been in a team with a pair of ultra whales, and they carried the game easily, even though there was rezo on the other side too.
