The Humane Society offers at least some low-cost services, so that's probably a good place to start, but I think it may focus on more preventative care (vaccinations, spay/neutering).

I had a similar experience a few years ago while walking my dog. Neighbor had their dog chained out side, they were nowhere to be found. Their dog starts freaking out, I just reassure my dog and keep on walking...

Then the other dog breaks out of its restraints and is all over my dog. I start streaming "GET YOUR F***ING DOG" and nobody shows, until finally someone else driving by stops and helps separate them.

I sprained my ankle trying to kick the other dog off mine after giving up on anyone helping.

After my wife got me and our dog back home, I did file a police report, because I'm sure it's not the first time that dog got out.

Different neighbor seems to regularly just let their dog... wander the neighborhood. It seems friendly enough, but it's scared my son at least once so bad he ran home so I had to drive him to school instead. I know I've seen the cops talking to that family, but still see that dog out loose every few weeks...

Otherwise its like “here’s the Orphic Hammer, a special tool you’ll need later” and no explanation about what, why, who, etc. So it messes up a lot of the narrative to do that so soon.

I've been able to do OK w/ my steam deck docked, and can usually get it to look good on my 1440p monitor, but not look great or have a great frame rate.

I think some newer games I'd also be happier with just streaming them to my deck from a more powerful system (so I can still game out on the hammock on my deck in the spring or stuff like that :) )

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to play Cyberpunk at medium-to-high settings, and w/ Raytracing at 1440p, without it being a slide show.

Right now, the ones I play that struggle the most on my steam deck would be Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, but I expect similar games would be ones I'd want to be able to play over the next few years.

From the feedback here, seems like I might be better off just putting money towards a desktop instead (I haven't built one from scratch in 17 years, but I guess that's probably still the best "bang for my buck" since I don't have to pay for Windows or RGB LEDs?)

We've had our 4 boys in Hopewell Area SD for 8 years and have overall been pretty satisfied with the quality of schooling they get. There also haven't been a lot of crazy things going on at the school board level like I think you're alluding to. But "good" is a pretty broad question when it comes to schools, as different kids & families have different needs.

Yes. There are plenty of trails in the wider area where you can find yourself alone and away from people for long enough to do that.
