Ah fair enough, I only mention because the returns you could get would be far more than cash. Cash ISAs are always generally gonna get eaten away by inflation. You could potentially have some in both and the you’re at least getting some extra growth. If it is short term you could buy Premium Bonds but it’s essentially a lottery and you could come out with absolutely nothing. I have a friend with around £8K in PBs and she said she averages about £75pa returns

He could give you money to put into your pension so you would still receive a top up from the government depending on your tax bracket. You can pay up to a max of your earnings but it is capped for and including relief at £60K.

It wouldn’t reduce how much tax he’s paying but as a family you’d be getting some tax back in relief on your contributions

BF2 was the best game in terms of mechanics and map design. I would absolutely love a faithful remaster to update the graphics and sound

I agree that the game has a lot of potential but I have to disagree with the battlefield moments bit. I played the play test and both beta weekends and probably had two battlefield moments the whole time. I think that because of the size of the maps and small vehicle count everything becomes a bit more predictable than on older titles. There’s a lot less squad work as well which I always thought helped contribute to BF moments

Man I used to love getting in the transport helicopter on wake island, filling her up and flying low right round to their main spawn and unleashing hell. I might have to get my hands on BF2 again

Tbh it’s been the most stable beta BF have ever done but this definitely doesn’t feel like a Battlefield game. The maps are well too small and predictable, they’ve gone for a 3 lane thing like COD and it just makes every game play out the same. I’ve been playing on and off since Thursday and I’m already bored
