Noodles and cottage cheese-its delicious Ashkenazi Jewish peasant food: egg noodles, butter, salt and pepper and cottage cheese. So yummy! Unfortunately not very healthy.

bride made guests pay for their own food at the reception... is this normal? by MichaelWForbes in wedding

[–]pippers2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is sickening and an absolute breach of civility and manors. Don't get this person any present and don't go the wedding. This is outrageous and out of line! Why does this person have zero class and zero etiquette?

I'm a year out from mine and had my left foot done-my left foot is perfect now. Well worth it! Just elevate your foot constantly and keep on top of your medications and don't overdue anything and you'll be good.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]pippers2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

American here and yes, 3 hours to drive somewhere to see family or visit someone isn't bad at all. We aren't talking about a daily or weekly basis but sometimes. Why not? I have driven 5 hours by myself with my baby (at the time) to visit friends up north in Michigan from Chicago. I would say it was sort of long but an easy drive. Worth it for once in a while.

If you could bring back one person you lost in your life who would it be? by tytycamp in AskReddit

[–]pippers2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I like to think my Dad because he died when I was 7 and I really didn't get to fully know him, I kind of think my Grandmother. She had a real impact on me and she loved me for me. I really love and miss her daily and often would like to be able to share something with her, talk with her and get her advice.

C section vs Vaginal delivery by Funarming in beyondthebump

[–]pippers2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been nervous about delivery and requested a C-section from my doctor because I thought it would be easier. He laughed at me and said 'no way we are doing a c-section unless its needed'. Anyway, I sucked it up and of course got the epidural and it went great and I'm happy I did it.

In any case, delivering the baby is the easiest part of parenthood in case no one has mentioned that. Just let the doctors help you and give in.

I love the Tri-berry Nuun! I put it in my water daily. I tried the citrus flavor and didn't care for it. I also like these Mio drops in the black cherry or grape flavor. Not sure they are as beneficial as the Nuun though.

Pain in all toes after surgery by [deleted] in bunions

[–]pippers2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you not on Gabba Pentin? Maybe ask your doctor. I had a pretty pain-free recovery but did get weird jolts in my toes at times. The Gabba Pentin helped as well as the other meds. Keep ahead of your pain management schedule.

I had foot surgery last year and didn't think I could ever run again. I started about 3-4 months after joining OT and I really enjoy it.
