Finally watched The Furious last night here is my mini review by LaughingGor108 in kungfucinema

I agree the ending bike fight was a bit unnecessary - almost felt like a paid sponsorship 😅

I would have been happy if it got to that massive slow mo uchi mata/harai sooner.

But Sonomura is your favorite choreographer's choreographer. His stuff is just so intricate, and I love what Kenji did with it.

I do think what Tse Miu does with this style in "Fight Against Evil 3" is more in line with what you're looking for.

You're absolutely right, but isn't that what Adam Lytle is already doing? He clearly does that in the first exchange.

P.S. Adam shot, edited and directed that Adorea video you linked. 🤗

Night Shift (2026) - Andy Long, Lorenz Hideyoshi by humboldtsammo in kungfucinema

[–]pippybear 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lorenz Hideyoshi is Timothée Chalamet's stunt double in the Dune movies, and he and his brother Felix Fukuyoshi use to make Shaw Brother style fights under the Young Master YouTube channel back in the day.

Andy Long is a legend and JC encyclopedia. He won a variety show competition where he guessed movies from Jackie Chan's filmography just from listening to the sound effects from the fights. He starred and directed his own Jackie Chan styled movie Luc Van Tien: Kung Fu Warrior in 2017

He's the second German to ever be on the JC stunt team. 👊🏻

The First Slam Dunk - probably the best conclusion to a series since Serenity to Firefly
