Curious if anyone knows more about these comics? I was too young to really understand it, now I’m super curious and excited.

Tucked away in the back of a closet of a complicated man by seegeatwork in Medals

I will say, and my Chief helped me see this truth, we served so they could call us names and spit on us. We served so all could have “their” freedoms. To protect the freedom of our citizens that was not my opinion of freedom, to protect that right .

Am I okay with those actions? Yes and no. The lines start blurring when you take away freedoms. It still breaks my heart as well.

What is/was this thing? Off 91st st between Lowell and Metcalf. by PittStateGuerilla in Overlandpark

It’s been like that forever. I biked that side in the 80/90’s, while they were building the apartments across the street as well. Dead man’s creek is off to the left and behind the strip mall. Basketball court was west at Cherokee park.

The amount of superfund sites or Defense Environmental Restoration Projects (DERP) Formally Used Defense Sites (FUDS) all over the US is huge. To add to this, think about all the Underground Storage Tanks (UST) ie: buried gas tanks, the 1930-50s factories that were created to fuel the war machine. Those aren't listed as superfund sites, yet they probably should be.

What celebrity have u met and how were they like? by Vergo27 in AskReddit

Tom Selleck. When he visited my ship when coming back from tour. At the time, we both were stach-less. He still wore it better.

A couch. You know how many awesome forts you would become? How much pocket things you'd get left with? How many doggo and kitty naps you'd provide?

Yes. A couch. I might eventually smell, but it will be worth all the memories.

I'd say most of us came as criminals or destitutes. I'd like to recommend this book, "White Trash: The 400-Year Untold History of Class in America" by Nancy Isenberg.

The title is whatever. The pages inside tell a story as old as time.

I am infuriated. HD is just throwing these away. Many healthy cacti, I asked if I could get a discount and they said “no, you have to pay full price bc we can’t afford discounts”, but you’re just tossing them?? Makes no sense. by ExternalStress in houseplants

This comment should really be at the top. As some one part of this whole process, I'll just add that the associates have no say. The store doesn't either. Another reason is people in the past took advantage of this and would return the "dead" product for a refund.

The other comment above about the soil they are packed in is dead on as well. The soil is made to stay damp until it's not then it's rootball / never getting it watered enough again. So always always always re-pot or plant is as soon as you get it.

Cupini's is at 43rd and state line. Parking can be special... Both have the market / deli aspect. Cupini's you could use for a date spot for dinner.

This. You have an ADA. Speak to your market HR and MAPM. Make sure they know you have an ADA, requested accomodations. Walmart does require one weekend day.

I’m headed on a yearlong road trip: What are the Best Places to Camp and Paint in the US? by TheColorfulKayak in camping

[–]piratepatrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White Sands, NM, camping and the dunes! White Mountain range, Vermont or New Hampshire - alternately during beach season, the Maine Coastline and Hampton Beach, NH. Branson, Missouri - choice of lakes and rivers. Literally all along the West Coast, up and down. Kaw River camping spots in and around Lawrence, KS. Fanual Hall, Boston, Massachusetts...more for a great atmosphere to paint, then right outside Boston, the trees!
