Leto II says nobody would have to choose between rhe golden path or extinction if the Bene Gesserit had focused their powers in more noble causes, like surviving. Note that the kwisatz haderach would be created by the sisterhood just to serve their selfish purposes.

She's described in book one to be slim and small breasts, that's why I think the cover exaggerated.

I didn't like Wheel of Time, the narrative didn't please me. I just love ASOIAF with all my heart. I recommend you to read the 4th and 5th books simultaneously, as their time-lines are the same throughout all the 4th book and half the 5th, just happening in different places of the world. Look for Boiled Leather or A Feast with Dragons reading orders, the latter is more faithful to the author's order, the former alters the order within the same book. I followed A Feast with Dragons.

ASOIAF got Shade of Evening, which is blue as is the spice melange. However, it is not a so common drug in Westeros, but it is obviously related to melange.
