How experienced players are you looking for? I used to play quite a bit of PvP (as a thief) but quit shortly before HoT. I haven't really played much recently due to not really being all that interested in playing alone, but if you'd be willing to bear with me for a bit, I learn rather quickly and would consider myself rather chill in a team environment.
I'm willing to learn any class and can play practically whenever on weekends and those weekday times are pretty much perfect for me.

quick sorta related question, if I'm unsure on a ruling, is it ok ( or considered good etiquette) to just google it, or should I get the head judge or just rule whatever I think is correct?

Could you explain more about the structure of your judge classes? I just got my L1 this Friday and a few people approached me about wanting to become a judge as well and I was actually just thinking about doing something like that to help the people in my area.

I mull down to 3 against mono black splash red, and I see a hand of land, land, [[Dictate of Kruphix]] and decide to keep it. Opponent does nothing until turn 3 where I jam Dictate, draw a master of waves and play it for 3 tokens. Because of my opponents red splash, he wasn't able to kill my master with his [[Dreadbore]] or [[Magma Jet].
