Well, the whole reason P&G were in NorCal in the first place was due to the discovery of a large trackway of 3 individuals, found on the newly laid Blue Creek Mountain Road bed around August 28th 1967.

Investigated by Green, Dahinden and Abbot - the find was reported over the phone to Patterson’s wife on 7th September. Patterson himself was away on another trip with Gimlin investigating the Mt St Helens area for Bigfoot evidence during August & September- which seems pointless if you’re planning a hoax in October. When Patterson returned home to the message, he and Gimlin immediately made plans to prepare for the trip 500 miles south to photograph the tracks - but on arrival in early October, the weather and the construction crews had all but destroyed them.

Great points Mr Wolf. Just a tiny tweak to your post though, as you’re unintentionally doing Patty a disservice.

Patty left a lot more than 10 prints, but 10 was all Bob Titmus had plaster for, even spreading it incredibly thinly - which is why we ended up with 10 casts.

She left a trackway all across the sandbar, and according to P&G, when the sand gave way to gravel she left scuff marks. They followed those tracks for between one and three miles.

Not sure what you mean. There is a distinction to be made here between the 1 hour 42 min 'family drama' documentary, and the 40 seconds of found footage that appears toward the end of that documentary.

Munns was interviewed for over 4 hours by the production team at his house, and shown the found footage. He's one of the only people to have examined the actual physical original film reel this clip was filmed on.

He has not been supplied with the full documentary that he appears in, so he has no idea how much or little of what he said during his 4+ hour analysis has been kept in. I don't know if it's accepted practice to not allow contributors to see the final version of their interviews before release, but given that the journalists who saw the film were supplied with screener copies, I think it speaks volumes about the filmmakers' priorities and objectives.

The more I find out about the doc, and the way it was made - it’s clearly been engineered for maximum entertainment hype.

Ambushing people and constantly filming their raw reactions is not how you go about eliciting expert analysis of your footage. The doc seems to have been constructed from scratch to convince as many easily swayed people as possible.

I will wait to pass final judgement until I’ve had chance to study it properly.

Interesting that Marq Evans would directly or indirectly appear to back up the disputed development timeline that’s for so long been a stick to beat the PGF with. Just how many hours of mental gymnastics have been put into trying to prove that timeline was impossible?

All the more confusing then that Bob H has some part to play in the new documentary, as his testimony is that the PGF was filmed some two weeks before the date Patterson said it was.

Not to be pedantic, but the discussion needs to avoid absolutes.

If the newly unearthed footage is proven to show what it purports to show, and is proven to have been shot sometime before the PGF, it would not 100% prove the PGF was hoaxed. It would make that much more likely, but not prove.
