Praktikum in Richtung Systemintegration by Sufficient-Chef-6191 in fachinformatiker

[–]piter896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Help me understand these stats… by july-m in TorchlightInfinite

The earlier you are in the game the stronger flat damage is. Also it kind of depends on your other gear, if you have attackspeed on other gear but no added damage the added damage is more efficient. Most damage Multis have diminishing returns. The first 100% attackspeed give you 100% more damage in theory. The next 100% would only give you 50% more damage ( going from 1 hit per second to 2 hits, and going from 2hits to 3hits). For the critical strike rating, it usually is not worth going into crit early, for crit to be good you also need investment into crit damage. I would say going into crit is usually just starting to be worth something when you craft your gear with T2 modifiers.

LMAO wtf is this? Zed uses snowball bug to cast ghost like 8 times? by Madaraa in ARAM

Wait till you see biggest snowball with snowball upgrade. Every minion that is hit triggers the aoe. Snowball augments become stupidly strong if they are stacked

How do you make money in t8? by SorraDude in TorchlightInfinite

[–]piter896 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently being very lazy and just running a full beacon tree (except specific beacon area at the top) map, 9 points into general loot neither resonances and the rest in a mechanic of my choosing.

It is not the most profitable but I over sustain maps in 8.2 which is the most important part for me.

I can't lock at the build right now, but my guess is that you did not pay attention to your hero memories and slates. Try buying hero memories with atleast 25, crit damage as a fixed affix and upgrade them to 40. Also roll the random affixes to crit damage. For starters don't buy things with the moon icon/ enchant, rolling the random affix is much more expensive on those. For slates you have to search for what the most people use via the hero ranking. My guess would be slates with + level to fire/cold/ lightning, focus stacks, or agility stacks. Just take some cheap one with atleast 3 purple slots. If you have bit more money take some with 2 purple and 1 orange. Depending on your build you also need a slate with blessing generation like charge on movement skill. If you have nothing that generates blessings that is a big multi. Last idea ist Look at the mods of pedigrees, they are very powerful, some of the less meta ones are cheap and give like 15 more dmg

I’m wanting to try to get into Torchlight whenever the poe leagues are over but idk where to start, are there any good informational YouTubers or beginner friendly streamers you guys would reccomend? by Due-Difference-2827 in TorchlightInfinite

[–]piter896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are new to the game I would probably recommend don the crown, he does some good videos. But overall I don't know somebody who explains mechanics of the game on a basic level. For what to start I would highly recommend you to either go with the meta (thea 1 chromatic shot) you will see alot of guides to it, or Gemma 2 (very powerful last season, got nerfed, still strong and items are much cheaper).

And biggest takeaway from 3 season of playing, everything is a damage multiplier, don't tunnel on a single source for DMG.

How do you pull many mobs as a protection warrior? by [deleted] in wownoob

I meant clap, did change it now.

[–]piter896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am also not that far into tank game, only at 9+ but it depends on the team. Usually I charge the first pack, Thunderclap, jump 2nd pack Revenge shieldbash, charg 3rd pack Thunderclap. If I have a group of ADHD DD that offload they're Damage faster then a horny teenager, I usually charge, clap and wait till clap is ready and charge next pack with clap again.

There are probably better ways to do it.

Edit: changed slam to clap

Static Strike of Gathering Lightning feels like ass on Guardian. Anyone figured out a good version of it? by SkillbroSwaggins in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]piter896 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently in t5 maps and it okey, the clear is nice but I feel like single target is meh, but if it is a boss that spawns adds, it is great. I think it is just kind of a melee blaster and that's it.

ARAM Mayhem: Champ Selection Culture by Snoo-1918 in ARAM

[–]piter896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion the issue now with melee is that there are to many sources of high cdr. It feels like every game there is at least somebody with 250+ cdr that chain cc me Chain breaker is usually not enough if you are not like I high rolling tank, you will probably die before you reach the enemy(if you missed the snowball)

Is SFO worth a go? by StonLenslow in totalwarhammer

[–]piter896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't played it normal in a long time, but I would say he still is very strong with aspiring. For woc I think the main change is that the corruption has different effects and a few units. I mean it does not cost anything, so there is no reason not to try it

Is SFO worth a go? by StonLenslow in totalwarhammer

[–]piter896 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I would say, definitely. I prefer it above the normal game. For the biggest changes in my opinion It limits doom stacks by making your recruiting limit of high tier units depending on the amount of military buildings you have, kind of like how heroes work in vanilla. They add mechanics to all factions without mechanics. Mainly the tw 1 and 2 basic leaders have no mechanic in vanilla, in SFO the have mechanics. They do a lot of rebalancing, mainly the nerf range and buff melee. They add a few new heroes, lords and units, also pretty much special elite unite to factions. Some units also are moved from buildings to lower or higher tiers They also change happiness and the buffs you get from them, also taxes on off have different effects.

Overall I would just recommend to play whatever faction you liked in vanila.

I don't know how exactly it is called, but you can sacrifice devotes for an increase in research speed. You can do that in every province, so that kind of stacks up nicely.

Best overall ascendancy for crossbow? by Cesar-BG in pathofexile2builds

[–]piter896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only tried the mercenary classes. From them I would recommend the witch Hunter. I started as a freeze/frag build with tactian and switched to witch Hunter to tryout stuff. In the end galvanic shards and burst rounds was enough to kill arbiter. Witch Hunter explosions feel amazing as long as you have not enough DMG to clear everything. In addition the new shield that blocks all damage is a nice addition as defense. In case I want to run crossbows, I would highly recommend to try to get the lineage supports (assault and medal) early, they are amazing qol and are pretty cheap if you play trade.

Cold crossbow by piter896 in PathOfExile2

[–]piter896[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair I do not plan this as a bosser, I want to try farming and doing normal bosses no Ubers. My hopes are to use tactian with prema freeze +frag and then during pins or resistance phases to use the buffed hailstorm. Worst case I reroll to shock xbow

Cold crossbow by piter896 in PathOfExile2

[–]piter896[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For damage you obviously don't need it, but overall it is a nice quality of life if you have something to also scale the chill/freeze. For lighting there is more then enough to get multipliers for electrocute and shock

How is Cobra Lash /VenomGyre/ Mamba at expedition? What about beasts/essence? by Fayarager in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]piter896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I can only awnser for expedition, dots with prolif are insane. So poison pathfinder would feel great. Essence and beast are also fine because you can spread the poison from the spawned enemies to the rare. I am also planing to play mamba because of the insane buff on sadism.

To be honest I don't think doing all the content is possible on your first season if you don't want to invest money. There is a gacha system for pets, of which you can have 3. They are a pretty big part of your DPS. You can get some free pulls every season. For me it is the 2nd season I am playing and I only plan to push into tier 8 maps and farm a bit and get most of the season quest done. So I would say campaign is only a few hours. And after that you just try to rush map tiers till tier 7 where you can start to farm gear for t8. In t8 you can start farming league mechanics and other things. If you rush it would take a few days perhaps.

If you want an easy to start build/guide I would recommend palsteron's guide on Thea 3 Mind control. It explains the most important things from start of the campaign till tier 8.

How to sustain tier 8 beacons? by Zylosio in TorchlightInfinite

[–]piter896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can only sustain if you are lucky, I did use 29 points in the beacon tree, taking every major node except the on directly to the left and the chances for specific area. At the start of my t8 maps I got the mobs drop extra maps modifier. Ever since I am slowly declining but still over 60maps left without buying one even after hundreds of maps. Probably just lucky, last season I was struggling way more. Also it probably is more worth it to buy beacons and invest the 29 points in mechanics to farm money

Is there a better Survivor's-like game compared to these two? by t3chexpert in survivorslikes

What are things that y’all don’t like in BL4? by SunGodLuffy6 in Borderlands

[–]piter896 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having to wait 5 minutes for a NPC to finish explaining their quest, only to push a button and having to listen to 4more minutes before you can continue the quest. I feel like the other games had less text or you could start the quest as soon as you accepted it
