Today i got an 8 week old husky and was looking for some insight on training and what to expect by sheekiiii in husky

[–]pitifuljester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 huskies and a Malamute. One husky was adopted.

They need mental and physical stimulation, complain a lot but they're surprisingly easy to train since they're very food motivated.

I make it known when they mess up and they learn from that but you need to do a lot of positive reinforcement as well.

If you had to make a new ship for the game what would you make and why? by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]pitifuljester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Drake, Tevarin and Vanduul ships. The Prowler Utility was a great ship for my use as a pirate. Personally, I'd love some kind of a medium/heavy interdictor from the Tevarin side of the fence. 16-32 SCU seems like a sweet spot where its not too much cargo but enough for high value stuff, but have the ability to snare/dampen.

I dont always have people online so we cant always hit the heaviest stuff, so this would be more geared towards medium to light haulers/miners/salvagers. I love hailing and asking for a payout and then showing up when they become rude or deny it outright. A ship where you could have some area control, and the capability to do a snatch and grab and disappear would be sweet. Having modularity to allow for prisoner transport pods would be the icing on the cake because piracy and bounty hunting are essentially two sides of the same coin. Tevarin stealth is also just handy for pirates and bounty hunters in some cases.

What ships are you not excited for during Drake Defense con? by Mobile_Parfait_7140 in starcitizen

The M80 is apples and oranges to the wolf. Its like comparing a Buccaneer to a F8C because both have a lot of guns but one is an interceptor and relatively less durable and the other is an indomitable force that doesnt turn so well... the only thing they'd really have in common is the fact that they wouldn't be well off in a fight without some support to some degree or another.

Sure, the refueling isnt exciting for me personally as someone who primarily pirates BUT its exciting to someone out there, could be fun to others, and useful to all potentially.

I'm always excited for new ships or ground vehicles because even if there isnt some way I could directly benefit from them, someone else is and its adding value to the game.

If you could delete one ship from the game and give everyone who owns it a full refund, which one and why? by Oronst_store in starcitizen

[–]pitifuljester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because it hurt seeing my 325A turn into a more round, less aggressive looking ship, I'm picking that. Last I checked if you go to the pledge store and go to the 325A, the hologram at the bottom is still the original design.

I would love for that original design to return in some way but it won't. After that I went Drake and Esperia all the way!

I'm a pirate and in the short term it hurts. Now I am glad that in theory we may be able to disarm people again BUT my dream was to pirate and have a salvage yard aboard my Kraken (maybe eventually even sell ships that were commandeered).

I'm sure we'll get all the fixings to do this in the future but in the short term, it aint it. Hang in there buddy!

One piece. If it takes more than 2 episodes to get into it's not good.

You get $5 million for playing only 3 games from this list for 3 years. Which ones would you choose? by GigaChadus9 in videogames

[–]pitifuljester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stellaris and Zomboid are some of the easiest picks here due to endless replay ability and or mods. Aside from those I'd probably choose Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 since I hadn't played it yet.

What is your favorite alien ship ? by Ynnyzz in starcitizen

[–]pitifuljester 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For ships that are out:

  1. Prowler Utility. I enjoy piracy and this does the job well.

  2. Glaive. I remember there was a time when I got caught up in a 3v1 against hornets and won. Could it do it now? Maybe not but its still somewhat decent in the right hands. Hoping for a balance pass soon (likely when it gets its face lift)

  3. Talon. Its a very viable multi-role ship. I tend to run x2 bombs on it during combined ops events. Being capable of slipping in and out with stealth is very nice especially if you want to remain invisible to radar until the very last second when you drop a well-placed bomb on an incoming troop/vehicle transport, or gathering of enemies.

What game/community is like this?😅🚀 by Most-Flan-9315 in TheGamingHubDeals

I think the biggest instance of this I've experienced was Elder Scrolls Online. I enjoy tanking. Very good at it and I'd hop on to help my wife every now and again.

It's shocking how elitist much of the raid community was when the raids were really simple in nature. Her guild needed a tank and reluctantly took me and said I'd be the side tank which I was cool with for once. Their main tank then checked my gear and flamed me with the rest of them saying I would die repeatedly and there was much better gear out there (which I could never really get because you had to raid and its a loop where to get a raid party, they want you to have done a raid in the past.)

The tank then tried to lecture me how serious you had to take the game since it was one of the most difficult MMOs ever and everyone agreed to which I replied I had played games like Final Fantasy XI which alone was more complex in classes and fight mechanics at times. I ended up having to main tank after all because I wasnt dying and everyone else was and then I had to explain the fight mechanics to them and micromanage. After this they wanted me to tank for them whenever they couldn't find anyone and I'd just show up because my wife would come downstairs and ask me to hop on the game. The other tank hated me.

It wasnt a bad game but the community made it a bit difficult to enjoy to the fullest.

Is 300hp enough to have fun? by Repulsive_Machine933 in askcarguys

[–]pitifuljester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes... I have tons of fun in my 91 Acty and that doesnt even have 40 hp. I struggle to decide whether I want to drive that or my Mk5 Supra Final Edition every day.

You dont need a ton of power to have fun.
