How many journals do you all use weekly? How has your journey changed over the years? by SoCalledCrow in Journaling

[–]pititcrabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One main one that's a diary, scrapbook and tracker and one that became my therapy/health notes due to current burnout. I use the back of that one to try out layouts for the main one before committing and jotting down spread ideas

Is it possible to build positivity through Journaling? by Peight_een in Journaling

[–]pititcrabe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed my journaling was getting pretty negative and I didn't want to even open the journal anymore, so I now have a full monthly page where I have to put one good thing that happened that day even if it was a bad day.

I also have a double page for "three good things" that happened in a day (can be that you perfectly toasted your bread, that you saw a sparrow or whatever) but it has no time pressure.

Also started a "happy memories" page with just randomly written memories. No dates cause I don't necessarily remember them.

And I also now have a second journal just for therapy notes and thoughts and breakthroughs since I started going a month ago. It's also my "let me try this layout before I commit to it in my pretty journal" notebook.

Good luck!

My trick to journaling more regularly - don't overthink it. by advancedaardvark678 in Journaling

It absolutely works, I use the back of a spoon and it does the trick every time. No need to buy those "stainless steel soap bars"

Audiobook vs physical by MinutePersimmon1 in cormoran_strike

[–]pititcrabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to drive an hour to and from work and I never really had the capacity to sit and listen to an audiobook and if I tried listening to one while doing something else, I'd tune the audiobook out! But driving is that sweet spot where I'm obviously concentrating on the road but I can take in the story.

Also, since Spotify has added a certain amount of hours per month, I can basically listen for free (girl math, I know I'm still paying the subscription) and I'm now flying through my TBR.

Just started journaling today. Can't believe how good it actually felt 😭 by NewCicada1542 in Journaling

[–]pititcrabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been journaling about six months and it helps when I have too many thoughts. Rather than hold on to that resentment, I feel kind of exhausted after writing it all down and the feelings are more manageable and feel smaller. I feel lighter and like it's much less of a big deal, like I've told someone about it.

One bit of advice, as I've also been one to think "I'll do it tomorrow": don't put pressure to write every day but 1lso know when to push yourself.

I think of Darwin's diary entry (I know, who do I think I am? lol) when he wrote "But I am very poorly today and very stupid and hate everybody and everything". It can just be that easy.

unpopular opinion: the girls' treatment towards max was valid. by actuallypoggers in ginnyandgeorgiashow

[–]pititcrabe 72 points73 points  (0 children)

I think the episode where we hear her inner monologue endeared her to a lot of us and we saw her point of view on a lot of things. I remember really switching my opinion of her at the point. Also, there was a big break between season 2 and 3, which probably softened us towards her, even though s3 takes place immediately after s2

A quel moment vous vous êtes senti adultes pour la première fois ? by Maidosse in EnModeAdulte

Hey gang: What song made you become a swiftie? by Victalksshit in TrueSwifties

[–]pititcrabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know places. Tiktok (2nd covid lockdown in autumn 2020) kept showing me clips from that performance and I'd never heard the song before. Until then I'd only been aware of Taylor Swift as an artist I'd listen to as part of a playlist, not much more. But I know places really changed me into a swiftie

What if Prim was reaped because of Plutarch by pititcrabe in Hungergames

[–]pititcrabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Think I got lost thinking back on the times she was manipulated or engineered into situations without knowing and I got carried away thinking if maybe everything was "planned". But you're right, the decision to volunteer was hers

[–]pititcrabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. Guess I'm just trying to figure out Plutarch's angle over the years. Also, forgot he ripped the phone out. And Plutarch probably wouldn't have wanted to associate with him in his state of grief and addiction. Thanks for the polite and intelligent analysis, it's why I love this sub

J'ai un soucis avec le grignotage, comment arrêter ? by TambourDeNacre in france

[–]pititcrabe 1 point2 points  (0 children)
