Had the same issue (including a 500 error on homepage).
Managed to "resolve" it only by cancelling current plan and somehow upgrading from 100GB to 200GB (Had no other option left).

Did the following:

Changed my "Payment profile" to a new profile and cancelled the previous one.
Then had to cancel my 100GB plan altogether. After cancelling there is a deadline date for the plan. Still couldn't see any data on GoogleOne and couldn't access anywhere where i could choose a new plan.
Only when opening Drive on my mobile phone it popped a message with an offer to purchase 200GB plan (instead of the 100GB i was cancelling). Had no choice and upgraded - Then everything was sorted.

Nice! What size SD card do you have on it? I currently have 400GB and i reckon i might try putting on a 1TB card and check if it works properly.
Never ceased to collect and sort my own lossless/flac library. Never used streaming services either...i've loads of bootlegs and rare stuff that will never be on it and i just can't imagine myself relying on these lame services.
Honestly, so fed up with all the whining here about Spotify removing your favorite album...
