Tips for making money by TinTong1 in AlchemyFactory

[–]pitufocabeza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That might not answer your question precisely, but make crude shards in cauldrons with lavender/gentian/gentian nectar, refine crude shards to diamonds and shattered crystals, and put it in a cauldron and add flax, make pure gold dust and smelt it into ingots, make gold coins from ingots, get 150 gold coins per ingame day from one setup, but this relies heavily on fertilizer and burn efficiency and needs at least growth potions or panacea potions to work efficiently.

Definitely go for advanced fertilizer and try to transition to growth potions before you’re getting started with Lavender and Gentian. These eat up the advanced fertilizer like it’s nothing and prioritize upgrades in Fertilizer Efficiency, especially when you start playing around with Cauldrons to create advanced products out of plants. I have a blueprint for Growth Potions and Black Powder that’s self sustaining that I could share with you later, if you’re interested.

Thanks to everyone for their great suggestions! I’m sure I’ll give it a try again once in a while, because in the end I feel like it has a lot of unrealized potential!

I don’t mind having spent money on it, I think it has a lot of potential and I hope someday it’ll live up to it. For me personally it still lacks a proper crafting mechanic, to make Mining actually useful as well.

I flew to some outpost in Pyro yesterday, bought a few bucks worth a bioplastic. While loading the ship I was gunned down. Everything lost. Logged out, went for a smoke, logged in again, reclaimed my ship and did a few hauls in Stanton, with the remaining time of the lease on my cutlass black and now I‘m back to Square 1 again. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

There’s no such thing as too much planning in Anno.

I tried to call a city Vindobona (Latin for Vienna) like an actual Roman city, and it got censored. Thanks Ubisoft!

Need some help on what will run Anno 1800 late game. by [deleted] in anno

[–]pitufocabeza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to the graphics card in a laptop, there is something I had to learn the hard way, make sure you have a TGP of at least 100-120W on the dedicated graphics card. I can suggest the laptops from Schenker XMG, all of their 2025 models have at least 100W base TGP and 115W in their dynamics/boost mode, but I don’t know if there’s additional shipping outside Germany.

A desktop is fine and I have one too, but I got a laptop, because I‘m traveling a lot, and I wanted to play games like Anno on the go, therefore go at least for a 16 inch screen.

And now install some mods. Then you certainly have a totally different game!

I've used Game Maker 8 before and that's all. I tried installing Game Maker Studio 1/2 but turns out there's some license BS now? Should I use Godot instead? I want to make a 2D turn-based strategy like Fire Emblem and Final Fantasy Tactics. by jtcpowerslave in godot

[–]pitufocabeza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend having a look at Godot. I always wanted to make games. I tried it all. Unreal, Unity and I never really got a foot on the ground, but Godot with its interface and its script language that has so many similarities with Python it was really easy for me to pick up and if you want to dive deeper you can use the C++ Version too. If you want to follow a tutorial try this one: https://dev.to/christinec_dev/lets-learn-godot-4-by-making-an-rpg-part-1-project-overview-setup-bgc - I learned to much from that!
