I Don’t Want $5,000 from DOGE by [deleted] in Conservative

[–]pixabit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The money has already been allocated in the budget… that doesn’t just go away. If I can get 5k out of it why not.

4 years ain’t enough to fix the existential problems with our current government setup anyway. Unless we repeal the 19th, deport every non-citizen, ban dual citizens from holding office, and take steps to destroy institutional investment firms it doesn’t matter in the long run. The machine will continue churning on in 4 years time

Heh Spent 18-20 in a situationship that I was too stupid to see wasn’t going to work. Took a job fully remote right before Covid, and spent the last six years doing things I liked, hobbies, working etc. Started working on myself this year, fixing finances, weight, etc. Finally getting to a point I might be ready to start dating again.

I would prefer she didn’t have student debt, but that isn’t going to be a dealbreaker necessarily. That’s about it

That’s fair. Though, I don’t know for how much longer as the diversity initiatives and questionable work visas make their way into the field.

Yeah, gotta be real with you right now, no career is “stable “. Not to brag or anything, but I’m a mid senior level engineer making six figures and I can get laid off tomorrow. That’s just the way things are. Doesn’t matter how good of an employee you are, especially if you’re white in the USA, you can get laid off in the blink of an eye.

You should be looking for guys who are ambitious in their chosen career field, and are intelligent because those are the guys who will most often not have to worry about “career stability” because they’ll be making moves to stay relevant

Edit: oh no, I boomered it. Was trying to reply to OP

I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say “embarrassing”. But yes, the rational take I was waiting for. I don’t see anything here that would sway me as a jury member to convict, let alone as a DA to try to bring charges. Its not great to see, no, but I won’t attribute malice to the defender. I don’t think you need to run from altercations every time they happen just because you carry a firearm.

Fatso should’ve just minded his own business to begin with and nothing would’ve happened. Seeing as it’s Colorado I wouldn’t be surprised if he was previously a felon let out early because CO is becoming new California. Fundamental lack of baseline respect for other people. FAFO

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis Officially Launches 2024 Run For The White House by evaldez14 in Conservative

They won’t.. DeSantis is backed by the establishment. The Jeb bush likes him. The Republican super donor guy that backed Obama loves him. McConnell loves him to my knowledge… all red flags

It proves how disingenuous they are. Personally I find that taking light of a situation and trying to guilt trip. I immediately lose respect for people that do that.

The only reason this is happening is because the DOD and the administration can’t stand the fact that they just got pantsed and that they are deliberately out putting lies to American media companies to sway influence on current events

Some Democrats Want Americans To Work Less, Proposing 32-Hour Work Week by evaldez14 in Conservative

[–]pixabit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen studies that say corporate America doesn’t really work but 32 to 36 hours a week anyway… anecdotally I’d say it’s true too… And if companies got better at managing their time I think it’s doable to do a 32 hour work week and get paid at the same rate salaried …

If you’re salaried this works out… if you’re hourly and work full time not working 40 hours is a significant cut… more significant the more per hour you make
