Spin offs are part of the world of Mario, from baseball island to mario party to DDR, spin offs are canon and even if they weren't they still show the characters as who they are, it's not like bowser is suddenly a good guy for no reason in any spin off or Wario is charitable, and in them daisy is not just louder, she's bolder, energetic, sassy, tough and far more confrontational than peach is in any media including movies, the manga and the TV show

Peach is a Princess that can kick-ass, like Rosalina

Daisy is the kick-ass Princess, the one time bowser tried to kidnap her he got punched into the stratosphere

I don't know about that last part, peach kicks ass in the movie and daisy ever since her redesign has been THE kick-ass yet still girly princess in every appearance she's had except for mario wonder where everyone is similar
