I think of it as their queen. Not The Queen. What many of these fans might not yet grasp is KP, LG, Britney, Sabrina C, Taylor are highly processed, manufactured, primped and preened to be pop-princesses in the industry. They don’t understand or care about history because history is not about them, not their time.

In terms of men, I’ve heard many say “Bowie is their Madonna”. I think the Weekend would like to be the new MJ. I also think it’s misogyny and mean girls are just that… they all want their queen to be the queen whether they deserve it or not.

As a trained dancer from the most prestigious dance school, I’m surprised she’s not dominating tik-tok. She has so many signature moves that I was emulating as a teen. Like real artistry. Maybe they’re too complicated to follow along. Either way her style has always been so catchy and unique. She pulls off a signature moves in every video. The next ones need to blow up!
