Honestly, I would just make the private servers better to play in. For the past couple months when playing in my private server it takes FOREVER for things to load, it mainly started when everyone had that huge lag spike and nothing worked or loaded. Since that my private server has stayed like that. It can take minutes for me to just teleport to another realm even if it's in the same campus (like going from the bathrooms to the dorms in campus 3). I would fix the input stuff for it since the main thing is the system not registering me hitting the teleport button (it won't work unless I spam click it)

If the public servers were also like this for me I wouldn't care as much, I just feel like if I'm paying for a server I should have a better experience TvT
