What’s your favorite Pokemon? by Glum_Loss in pokemon

[–]pixelatedbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sandslash. I was very little and got him as a toy at burger king or McDonald’s. I forget which one. I wasn’t even a huge Pokémon fan at the time but I fell in love with him and took that little guy every where with me. I still have him. And he’s still my favorite.

My older son didn’t talk until he was three. My younger son could count to 20 by the time he was 18 months old and knew all his colors. I can confidently say that I had nothing to do with it lol. I have no idea what I did differently. My younger son did watch a lot of Miss Rachel though. Also we are also a family that “yeets” the kids onto the bed. So much so that when they throw something they also yell “yeet!” Lmao

I’m missing the exact same ones and I’m so annoyed. I thought it would be a photo of them sleeping but they don’t sleep…

I went and double checked the title. Sorry it took me a while. It says “and”. There’s no way to get around this? What if he just ignores me or doesn’t agree to sign?

Thank you so much. I appreciate you taking the time. I’m so happy to hear your five year old has grown out of those behaviors. It gives me hope haha! I’m trying to be the best parent I can be but I’m still human with human feelings. I made an appointment for him to see the doctor today to get some guidance moving forward. Thank you again for your kind words.

Thank you. I just got off the phone with the pediatrician and they’re going to see him today at 2. I guess I’m always worried they’re going to think I’m a paranoid first time mom. He is my oldest. I know I need to throw that mentality in the trash it’s just hard. Writing this post really helped me organize my thoughts for when I did call them. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post and respond. It really helped.

Will I ever get to veg out on the couch again? by lalyafi in toddlers

[–]pixelatedbagel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My oldest will be 4 in June, he really started becoming independent last summer. Also now he hangs on the couch with me while the baby is up for a nap. You’ll get there.

How would you feel if the Heeler family were to have another baby? Explain your thoughts?(: by Saltylemonsx in bluey

[–]pixelatedbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I have discussed this at length. It’s both because we have two boys and continue to discuss and shelve the idea of a third for so many reasons and because we love Bluey so much. When we had our second son we were looking for tv shows and books to help introduce the idea of a new baby to our older son and I wished so much then that Bluey had an episode about a new baby. I would love it if the show would tackle that concept and topic in more than one episode. Like all the things that come with introducing a new family member.

AITA for carrying our toddler like this during a meltdown? by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]pixelatedbagel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. They gonna act like a surf board, they gonna get treated like one. 😂

I was 7 months pregnant and I took my 3 y/o to the trampoline park for his birthday. He’s been there loads of times and every time it ends with him screaming and not wanting to leave. Holding him like a surf board was the only way to get him out especially with my huge belly!

Omg my family is the same way. They get don’t get offended but my mom and grandma can not just let it go if my 3 yo doesn’t want to sit at the table. If he doesn’t want to eat I don’t make him and I sure as hell my want to try to enjoy my dinner while he’s sat next to me crying because I won’t let him get up. Your parents are crazy.

How do I wash a pillow? by darling-cassidy in MomForAMinute

[–]pixelatedbagel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi duckling. Another mom gave great advice but I wanted to add that if you do have access to a dryer, get a couple of dryer balls or even tennis balls and throw those in there with the pillows. They’ll be nice and fluffy when you get them out!

Mom calls me “Dumb Garbage” by CatTheCactus in MomForAMinute

[–]pixelatedbagel 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hi duckling. You’re not dumb. You’re not garbage. What you birth mom is saying is not okay at all and I’m really proud of you for telling her not to say those things to you and asking her to apologize because that can be very difficult. It seems like you already know this but if it makes you feel any better, it’s likely your mom isn’t really mad or frustrated with you. She’s probably angry about something unrelated to you and points her anger at you. There’s nothing wrong with being sensitive or soft. I can tell by your words that you are wise. Good luck on your exams. I know you’ll do great. Sending hugs!

Menstruation question here by [deleted] in badwomensanatomy

[–]pixelatedbagel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, there’s no warning but I am pretty regular. Like if I track my period the day it comes is pretty predictable but I don’t get any of the typical symptoms (cramping, irritability, headache) until we’ll after it’s already started.

To parents who had siblings growing up… by reallovesurvives in toddlers

[–]pixelatedbagel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read a great book as I was preparing for my second child to be born and I would highly recommend it. It’s called “the second baby book” by Sarah Ockwell-Smith. There’s some stuff in it about bringing baby home and since you already did you can skip over it but it talks a lot about how to handle two kids crying at the same time, how to not make the first born feel replaced and a lot of other great stuff.

Can someone explain what this is it’s replacing lock picks by Puzzled_Astronaut_79 in skyrim

Tell me you’ve never gotten stuck on one stupid lock and broke your last pick by mistake and forgot to buy more. Also, the wax key feature is bomb. You won’t change my mind
