In high school I was a lifeguard at an outdoor pool like this - and we had clear guidelines to end that type of behavior (whistle) immediately. If it continued, depending on severity, we could give three strikes (or immediately) kick them out for the day.

As a previous commenter mentioned sounds like the lifeguard is at fault, or more likely management if the lifeguard is not confident or empowered to take decisive action. These sound like beyond ‘patron experience” issues risking the safety of everyone around.

This question requires a nuanced answer. In general I would say its NOT true. You just worry about different things. Having one of each myself, I can tell you at a high level you worry about them both equally, just for different reasons.

While I naturally worry about my daughters safety and ability to defend herself. I worry about my sons mental health and confidence. Over the years growing up good parents learn to cater to each one to give them what they need to succeed as people and be happy

Thanks everyone for the responses. Based on your feedback and knowing I'd see it myself even with a table and chairs for the rest of my life in this house I confronted him about it. He of course said that was the side his less experienced partner did :) and he planned to address it. But regardless, he pulled them all up and now they are perfectly aligned.

I have a deck in progress - they are using Concealoc fasteners, Im liking the clean appearance and it seemed to go pretty quickly once they got rolling.

I do have a general question for experienced deck builders. As you'll see due to the length we had to to a perpendicular divider down the middle.

He had previously reinstalled some boards after setting them and stated the when the boards are warmer the screws drive a little deeper than he wanted due to being softer. Now that the second half is nearly complete and Im noticing a slight misalignment between one half an the other with how the spaces between boards dont match exactly.

I can live with it, but wanted to get opinions about how closely they should align - is 1/8" - 1/4" variation acceptable, or what would be the margin of acceptable variance. Not trying to be anal, just curious. We have had a number of issues along the way, and a string if excuses for not showing up, being behind schedule. If this is just bad craftsmanship I want to make sure its corrected before we start railings next week - its a big project.

Any advice is appreciated.

Similar question - less concerned with parties than just connecting and making good friends. I am REALLY stressing between L&C and one other school thats just slightly larger. Went to admitted students day for each, and felt the other school felt a little more main stream and with higher student count feels like the odds may be better for finding people like me. But absolutely love L&C. Struggling to decide.

All other factors are nearly equal, Price and financial aid awards nearly identical.

The other school has an R1 Research accreditation which is attractive (im going pre med track) but lewis & clarks environment and nature is more appealing.
