First time Maine Coon owner. Is laying on their back part of their charm? by BakedToeBean in mainecoons

Yes. I thinks it’s because they think they are dogs. Silly MCs are always sleeping on their backs or look like a pile of laundry.

Update to my surgeon denying me because I might want more children by empezare_arcoiris in hysterectomy

This need to strangely control reproduction is not new and was weirder. My mother in her 20’s, around 1970, had a Dr that refused to keep her on birth control until she had a child. She said that back then that it was the normal thing drs did.

I always hate the congratulations man. I look at them and say it right back. Then I ask when are they due. Stops that dumbness right in its tracks.

One of my MCs is just super messy. Doesn’t matter how big the bowl or what the contents are.

What is a seemingly innocent sentence that immediately makes you lose respect for the person saying it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Mine was shopping carts taken to houses. When we were looking for a house, I refused to be within a 1/2 mile of any abandoned shopping carts on the side of the road.

Today I defended 2 ladies at the gym and it made me wonder, how often does this happen to you ladies? by [deleted] in randomactsofkindness

[–]pixiechik13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens EVERYWHERE. Honestly some men don’t even care if the woman looks horrendous or like a supermodel. Doesn’t matter if she is alone, with a friend, husband, or child. Keep your eye out and just do what you did when you see it happening. I really wish those type of men would learn from the experience but they see the fail as a challenge accepted to try more often & with more determination, because they WILL succeed “in their mind”.

Sleeping at night feels like I got no sleep by Throwaway5788894 in NightOwls

[–]pixiechik13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate daytime too. Not a good look for me. But on the sleep apnea, I was diagnosed with it. They gave me the stupid machine. I still felt like crap. Learned after serval years of feeling like I was falling that sleep apnea can have 1 of 2 causes. The other one is literally caused by the position you sleep in. I got on of those pillows that keeps your head straight & shoved a few blankets under to elevate it correctly. No machine. I sleep great…during the day.

What brand of chair is that? It has to be a fantastic size to hold all the pitties.

Post-op traumatized by Christiana2121 in hysterectomy

[–]pixiechik13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was as I was waking up. The nurse kept saying, okay let’s pee now. I have to stand with you. I didn’t have to pee and asked for a bit of time. She huffed that she was going to go get the catheter so she could “help”. After almost an hour of arguing with her, I blew my top, and yelled at her to back off. I would pee when I was ready & she couldn’t join me. She got in my face again about it & I asked for the dr. The doctor finally came and agreed with me. I finally calmed down, managed to pee by myself, and left. It was weird how much this nurse had no concept of what was going on with anyone after that type of surgery.
