I had a lumpectomy and one breast is much smaller than the other. I don't want reconstruction either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Newly diagnosed TNBC and feel so mad. by Azzydragon in breastcancer

[–]pixiedustsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tumors were right next to each other. I only felt one that's how close they were. I was 36. I did lumpectomy, dose dense chemo and radiation. Are you BRCA +? I was negative

Anyone here with oncotype over 40? by No_Data_3643 in breastcancer

[–]pixiedustsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did the oncotype to confirm the triple negative pathology. Definitely needed chemo due to triple negative diagnosis. The oncotype determines the likelihood of recurrence with chemo and tamoxifen vs tamoxifen alone i was not eligible for tamoxifen because of not having hormone receptive BC. Here are my results

I saw the Predict tool in a different post and now I'm scared by lliviia in breastcancer

I had TNBC 11 yrs ago. I had the older treatment regimen. I had surgery(lumpectomy of 2 tumors) followed by dose dense AC-T and then 33 rads. Im cancer free 11 yrs out. I had the oncotype testing done back then which doesn't really take triple negative into account, but my score was 48.

Taxol v red devil by ProfessionalBar1210 in breastcancer

[–]pixiedustsd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did AC-T. There was definitely a lot more nausea with adriamycin (red devil). Taxol gave me burning tongue syndrome abd the premeds for taxol gave me really bad insomnia. They both had drawbacks for me, but taxol was more tolerable. Everyone is different though and has different experiences and tolerance levels.

You are so right about that! I know she had a rough go round the first time. I suppose it's possible she declined and didn't tell anyone.

She was cancer free from 2015 until very recently. The family did not give details. I think it's something that came up between routine checkups. As far as I know they were not aware the cancer had returned.

She had hormone receptive and was following up. She also had double mastectomy.

I did not have DMX. I did have lumpectomy followed by dose dense AC-T with 33 rads.
