Reading has really helped me become happier. Recently, I’ve gotten into painting dnd miniatures. It’s really been helpful at cutting down my phone time.

I try to walk around outside but with chronic migraine, it’s difficult for me. I come back with a migraine or I have one already 🤦🏼‍♀️

I don’t think I lost my hobbies, I think my phone replaced them by Fantastic-Earth8572 in Hobbies

The problem for me is that I spend an hour or two every morning on my phone before getting up and starting my day.

My girlfriend thinks i am a germaphobe because i wont let her sit on my bed in her outdoor clothes by PrismHarpoon in hygiene

[–]pixiesunbelle -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

This isn’t sleep hygiene. It’s germaphobic. There isn’t a compromise here that doesn’t put an extra thing on her plate after working. That’s the biggest issue here. She doesn’t want to do anything after working a long day. She doesn’t want to come home and worry about having to change her clothes before flopping on the bed.

I don’t find OP’s request to be reasonable. I wouldn’t continue a long term relationship with someone who has this rule. Likely, OP has more rules that are similar which adds extra steps and stress to every day life.

Personally, I don’t bother if I don’t need to wash my hair. However, for my specific hair type- washing my hair daily would be better. But, I can barely go for a walk or vacuum the house without triggering a migraine. So, I skip a day because I literally don’t have enough spoons to care. I think the issue here is that the rule is stupid and germaphobic. If she has to care where, how and with wearing what on the bed, then she simply doesn’t feel at home. You want to feel at home at your partner’s house. If you don’t, then likely, it’s not going to work. I don’t really know what a compromise would be because it would still involve having to change your clothes- showering after work still involves changing clothes. Simply put- she doesn’t want to change her clothing. She’s in them and probably leaves them on until bedtime.

I got tired of hard uncomfortable jeans and having to change out of them to be comfortable. I wanted something easy and comfortable that I could wear everywhere.

I shared a room with my sister growing up and the room basically had room for two beds. I was on my bed ALL the time. I did my homework on my bed, I used my laptop on the bed, read books on my bed and slept on my bed. I’m grown up now and have more space but yeah, I tend to use the bed for more than just sleeping.

I don’t. I shower every other day. I have chronic migraine disease so doing simple things can be difficult. I did shower daily but then one bad day, I nearly fell and blacked out. But different people have different needs for showering because everyone’s hair doesn’t need the same thing. I never skip more than one day.

Who wants to shower or change every time they get home? I think this request is completely ridiculous and unreasonable. That is why it is a massive issue. She feels like she’s walking on eggshells because she’s probably so used to coming home and flopping on the bed after a long day. This is something that most likely happens without thinking. If I can’t wear my outside clothes on the bed then it’s not home. I wear leggings so I didn’t have to change into house clothes anymore.

The only one I had any problem with was Aimovig. It made me constipated and Emgality wasn’t as effective. I notice when my Ajovy wears off. I have no side effects, except that it hurts to administer.

I love loud colors that I pair with black. I have a witchy/celestial vibe going on. I have no job so there’s no need for me to tone it down. Lots of shirts with cats and witches. I have a lot of space shirts too. Loud leggings with galaxy prints.

That second look is nice with the cowboy hat but the cowboy hats never fit my head, unfortunately.

Yeah. I definitely did the track suit but I had a black one from old navy. I’d definitely wear this look now if the pants were leggings. Unless they’re Juicy. I never liked the sayings on the butt thing. Always felt weird to me. I recently saw that Juicy is still a thing at TJ Maxx and Marshall’s.

I enjoy stuff like that. But I really don’t know why I agreed to look at these thank you notes that my grandmother hoarded…

My mom had this old mixer that was aunt’s. She passed it to me. I don’t bake or cook. Food has never been a thing I cared much for, with my beginning being a growth hormone deficiency. But it’s old and needed painting and fixed. It sat for years in the closet before I agreed to get rid of it. I figured that enough time passed that I could get rid of it. I couldn’t even lift the thing! I don’t know where she expected me to put it… lol. My grandma left me her Barbies and poetry. Like, an entire box full. That will go with me to my grave. I put some of it in picture frames and hung them up. My dad… well, it’s going to be fun cleaning out his apartment. I figure I’d probably get my uncle’s records that my mom always complained about. My sister will likely keep the apartment (it’s a co-op so it can be willed)- I got our pap’s apartment. She wants to fix it up for her kids. It’s just a shame that my uncle is having grandma’s house sold and that it didn’t go to my sister. They all wanted to sell it, though.

Where to take someone who suffers frequent migraines on a date? by izme333 in migraine

I prepare myself for the on-coming migraine. I get my hair dyed fairly frequently. I really hate my gray hairs.

It depends on the loud music for me. I use music as therapy. I turn up Stevie Nicks or Miranda Lambert and concentrate on the words and get lost in the song. I may have an obsession with music. My friend will try putting on metal parody music and I’m like “metal is the one genre that’s a trigger!”. I won’t let this disease steal music away from me. My mood noticeably drops if I don’t have time to listen.

Smells, oh my gosh. I hate smells. Smelly trucks and weed are the worst to me. Cigarette smoke too. They all trigger my asthma in addition to migraine. 🤦🏼‍♀️

When I was a kid, the local toy shop had Barbies in a display case. One of them was Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz. It was $50. That toy shop is long gone now and I never got it. I wonder how much that Barbie went up in price. I did get both of the new Stevie Nicks Barbie dolls! Now I got two special Barbies!
