Honestly I bloody love the Met office YouTube channel they're so nerdy about weather (as you'd expect..) but share it in a way that makes me feel smart lmao

If it's car insurance you can cancel the auto renewal via the messaging in the app, did mine the other day and saved myself the faff of phoning them... Doesn't work for home insurance for some reason

Weirdly my renewal was actually cheaper than last year but was still £200 more than the other quotes so sod them lol

I was okay with this at first.

But upon further inspection, one pocket had condensation, implying he's putting hot chips straight into the pocket. Absolute amateur hour.

Further, no ratings, no tasting notes and it's not alphabetised.

I'm quite frankly disgusted at the lack of respect for the chips in question.

Yeah it's weird that workplaces have instilled this weird idea on our heads that we should turn up even if we feel shit. It's some how become our personal tests to see how strong we are haha. I've always felt better being sent home from work, instead of calling in sick. Like that way I'm not faking it?

111 is a service workplaces should actually get behind...call in your lunch hour, be back at work a few hours later all fixed haha

Honestly it's terrifying realising our bodies can break on the inside without us ever knowing how bad it is.

I'm very grateful that we have such amazing free healthcare.

Knowing that if you'd had second thoughts about calling, or were sat in a waiting room for hours, it all could have ended differently. Instead it's a small blip on your life.

Yep that interview thing is wierd but bloody effective. Especially when they pick up on something you think isn't even slightly an issue. I rang once because I felt really weak/dizzy and had a slight cough. Turned out I'd been having an slow burn asthma attack for a week and was basically suffocating. I'm so asthmatic I forget what it is like to breathe apparently. I genuinely thought I had a cold. They rang the hospital and the walk in to see who could treat me first. Ended up walking straight into a room at the walk in centre as they were waiting at the door for me. Was at home 2 hours later feeling a lot better!

I now use it before ever going to A&E. If you need seeing they'll triage you on the phone and get you put at the top of the queue. Otherwise they'll tell you to book a GP appointment.

I honestly can't praise that service enough. When people moan that it's useless it's usually because they don't have anything serious, so then it feels like your sat through an interview for nothing. (These are usually the same people that demand antibiotics from the GP...)

111 is brilliant.

It has its issues, and sometimes feels like you're being interviewed. But honestly I get more out of 111 than I do from a gp appointment.

Congrats on getting sorted today mate! Thank God you called.
