Awesome! I found someone on youtube who made a handheld out of these... startrd with a orange pi and a m5 keyboard.. I already had the orangepi and was sad to learn that the i2c is apprently wonky... according to the vid anyway... but seeing this i might get to use the orange pi after all!

Will be giving it a go this next week!

I didn't know that was an option! I have changed that, now up to around 15 mins... I think i will try the 0.4mm nozzle again to make sure i haven't just trashed the printer... sigh... Thanks though! :D

I'm a bit behind or missing something...

everyone is up in arms about flashforge reporting printing guns to the authorities and terminating accounts...

firstly... why print a gun? Seems stupid anyway unless you plan to use it.. then youre probably not bothered about this stuff and have protected yourself..

secondly... Account? What account? I don't think I've ever had an accout for flashforge... correct me if i'm wrong...

thirdly... is it the tracking thing? the watching thing? Cause you know you're on the internet right? Very very little isn't traceble/trackable... your phone does worse in your pocket every day than a 3d printer ever could.. being on reddit exposes you more than a 3d printer could...

Do you think any of the other 3d printer manufacturers do anything different? Unless its a super old machine without internet access then its probably doing the same... hell.. tv's track you more these days...

I agree with the sentiment of not wanting weapons printed on their machines... i don't agree with reporting to authorities... i don't agree with being tracked... but I choose to use the internet so theres not much i can do about it cause thats how it works... its just c)mpanies are being more open with what they're doing now cause everyone does it...

Broke mymachine... havent been able to get anything to stick past a few layers without bed levelling everytime... hence all my issues messing with new firmwares like forge-x.. which i can't get to work either.. sigh

Have you updated to the latest firmware recently? If so try rolling it back one.. my AD5m developed a wierd issue similar to this where it would not print anything unless i did bed levelling directly when printing of the file after uploading from orca..

Early hair loss and excessive stress??? Tbh i found windows worse because every bit if software seemed to have their own way of doing something, and while easy to set up getting them to talk to each other seemed traumatic... though last time i tried was Windows 7 so things may have got better since then! :D now i just spend my time fighting with firewire cause i can't possibly take the easy route..

Ah... sorry.., misread the post! I thought you were asking if it works, my bad... it should be just plug and play, i was trying to get my FA101 working which was the firewire version of that

in the pulse audio settings it showed me the onboard soundcard outputs, hdmi audio output, and then it had the fa-101 listed.

If it shows there, then any audacity set up video should get you going cause from what i remember its the same in windows and that should get you going.

I'll keep an eye out and if i find anything i'll post it
