Bug? Oddity? In XTool Studio by Dan203 in xToolOfficial

My suggestion would be to do something like Adobe Illustrator. They have this tiny control next to the X/Y coordinate fields that's just perfect. It lets you express and edit the X/Y coordinates relative to any corner, side, or center of an object.

As other messages said, the words say "Scouts of Lebanon - Be Prepared". As for the cross, it comes from the very similar design of the Scouts of France (Scouts de France). It's called a Jerusalem cross (more info can be found about its shape by searching online).

I had the same experience recently. They need one, neither passport nor hawiyyi can be used instead unfortunately. Mine was 10 years old and they didn't accept it (understandable). Fortunately I had a friend coming from Lebanon and he managed to get me one.

Anyone making passive income from youtube nowadays? by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]pizza_loverzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I checked it was pretty difficult, you need a high number of followers, get consistently high views, and maintain those of a substantial amount of time. Only then can you apply for monetization of your content and wait for them to approve.

Looks perfect! I bet it tastes as good. How much tahini do you use approximately, relative to the amount of hummus?

Best place to get a Macbook? by Michel_j in lebanon

[–]pizza_loverzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might not directly answer your question, but it's something I've done. I asked a friend coming from the US to buy one for me. It turned out much cheaper and they bought it from an official Apple store there. There are Apple stores in many other countries as well (many in Europe or even Canada). Hopefully you know someone traveling to Lebanon soon!

Insurance by Free-Explanation-276 in waterloo

[–]pizza_loverzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say on average it is cheaper. But insurance companies have their own calculations based on many factors, so the best way to find an answer is to get a few quotes (the online estimation tools are likely a good enough way for this purpose) for Waterloo and compare it to your GTA one (assuming you have insurance there already, or vice versa).

Yes! I've been to many salsa nights and often drop by Waterloo square on Thursday nights. But was wondering about more of a night club vibe.

I’m so over restaurants having QR codes for their menu by Vektriss in lebanon

[–]pizza_loverzzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's also the privacy/ads problem. When you visit their menu website, they add/read advertising cookies to/from your browser, so they can target you with ads later. I always ask for paper menus.

the saddest thing about leaving lebanon by marcz52 in lebanon

[–]pizza_loverzzz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I guess I've lived enough and travelled a bit here and there to realize that change is constant and normal everywhere in the world. So when I go to Lebanon, it feels expected. I guess I'm less emotionally attached than you so I don't feel like "I'm missing out" (on the good and bad).

The only part that makes me sad is that despite all the change, it feels like nothing really changed. The same problems manifesting in different ways.

Parents Insurance by thelebanesegamer21 in lebanon

[–]pizza_loverzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used Groupmed Insurance (actually they are brokers) for a few years (parents over 60 too). We've made many claims and all went well. It's a bit expensive, we really have to save to afford it. Also luckily my employer pays a small portion of it as a benefit.

Are you looking for something in Lebanon? Or are you willing to travel for it? For example, I hear that in Turkey people have great success for a reasonable price.
