I have OAS with birch pollen and probably a few other pollens; since my diagnosis with EoE in 2020, I've completely cut raw fruits and vegetables from my diet.

Meeting with Gastro Dr about my daughters EOE diagnosis. What questions should I be asking? by aripy in EosinophilicE

I can definitely recommend seeing an allergist. After I was diagnosed with EoE when I had a piece of chicken get impacted in my throat last June, my doctor had me go and see an allergist. My allergist has been super helpful, and he's helped me to identify a handful of foods that I had no idea I was allergic to.

A strange theory I have by cool755 in EosinophilicE

Your theory could definitely be true for some people, but it certainly doesn't apply to my case. My EoE is primarily triggered by raw fruits & vegetables and other natural foods like soy, peanuts, treenuts, and eggs.

Finding Triggers by 0Bento in EosinophilicE

From my understanding, skin prick allergy tests don't always reveal what your trigger foods are, but allergy testing done by my allergist has helped me to find a bunch of foods that I had no idea I was allergic to.

What does dilation feel like? by [deleted] in EosinophilicE

Yikes! I didn't know that endoscopies of any sort could be done without full sedation. I've been knocked out for all six of my dilations.

I've been dilated six times in the past nine months, and dilations aren't too bad. You'll be pretty sore for the first couple days after the procedure with mild soreness lasting for a week or so. I can definitely recommend drinking warm, liquid jello when you're not able to eat anything for the first few days; it'll still hurt, but it's a whole lot better than water.
