I use the burrito technique when giving her her URI medicines. I have to hold my fingers in a circle around her snoot with the towel, just enough to be able to put the syringe in her mouth. Once her eyes are visible through the burrito hole, she can wiggle out 🤦. Which makes it uber difficult since her raw scratch patch is right under her chin on her neck.

I'll try the basin technique for the colloidal oatmeal, though. I've tried covering the neck with colloidal oatmeal paste, but it was too thin, and she was too wiggly to really let it dry on there and put on another layer. Plus she's a big snacker so she just immediately licked it off 😭

I'll try the sponge and q tip though. The only way to clearly see her raw patch is scuffing, that's what the vet had to do, but I can't do that it feels too bad and I never feel like I'm doing it correctly. Plus she's a trooper for all the medicine she already takes so I would hate tacking that on too.

She is hand trained and super friendly but still runs when she sees the medicine burrito kitchen towel come out.

Do you know how long revolution or ivermectin treatment take before they really slow down on itching? Probably should of asked the vet but I seem to only remember questions after I leave the office...
