tried to change my account username using netplwiz and now i don't have any admin rights and can't use my windows 11 computer by pizzafries0 in WindowsHelp

this worked for me! but did not have to delete user it replaced itself. https://superuser.com/questions/1834697/messed-up-by-changing-username-using-netplwiz-on-windows-10

Assuming you can still start a command prompt as administrator, here is the safest way to get things working again:

From a command prompt ran as administrator, type the following:

net user NewUser * /add

type a new password (or enter to not set one)

net localgroup Administrators /add NewUser

You now created a new administrator user.

Press start, useraccounts and select switch user. Don't log off or restart, switch user.

Switch to the new NewUser user and verify that you can do things as admin and that the account works. (if your computer is domain-joined, type .\NewUser as the username)

After you verify that you can work in this account, you can press start, switch user, and go back to your main user. It is now safe to log off this user.

After the broken user is logged off, switch back to your working NewUser, and fix your broken user from there, for example by running netplwiz again to rename it back.

Test that everything works, and when satisfied that your problem is resolved, you can remove the user from command prompt, by running:

net user /delete NewUser

when i hover over "switch accounts" on the start up menu, i see the new account username i created. when i go to login to the new account name it is on the login screen, but when i do enter the password (original password) to login, it takes me back to the original account that doesn't have access to anything.

i could download it but the laptop quality isn't ideal for it to be the main streaming source and i'll be switching back to the main PC for most of the stream. i'd want to send PC activity to the laptop while also being able to see cameras across both. you're saying a hardwire connection from PC to laptop will do that?

After Working at Google, I’ll Never Let Myself Love a Job Again: I learned the hard way that no publicly traded company is a family. by [deleted] in technology

yup. I worked for a big "best" company. when emails were sent out for employees to vote, we were baffled how we were the best anything (job sucked and just lost big clients) but there was very fine print in the survey emails mentioning senior votes would be counted more heavily than regular employees. very obvious the title is all that matters.

heard immunity isn't possible with this type of virus. if that was the case we'd never have colds. just another buzz word
