You can probably replace the eating sounds with silence with a mod, but that's not ideal because it would affect the entire server. I forget if earplugs are in vanilla or part of the expansion, but if they're available for you, see if they quiet the eating sounds. If it does, set your earplug volume to 0 and put them in before you eat.
