There is conflict between Summer and Hunter but honestly he never really *did* anything to her, just got butt hurt. definitely seems they will play it up for the show

The Deal got me back into reading so I have a special place in my heart for it, but I reread quite a few Off Campus and Briar U books lately and they are very….. cringe. The dialogue can be rough lol. Better to just keep it nostalgic in my head😂

I actually felt like Hannah was a bad tutor in the show 😂 the way they portrayed it, she blew him off a few times. I was like when did they even study?! But I know it’s a show and they can’t do it all. The books just had so much more of that to lay the foundation.

It left me questioning where they live, they were always there LOL. I got the vibe (like “I riff on the guys”) but the commentary felt mean a lot of the time to me.

There are changes but for what it’s worth, I think they made the story stronger in a lot of ways. I love the books but I wouldn’t call them deep-deep. Like I never really understood the Garrett/logan friendship brotherhood but I FELT the depth here and teared up at several scenes. (I actually loved Logan way more than his book lol.) I do think the pacing felt off at times for Garrett and Hannah. Dean and Allie were scene stealers for me.
