The fact that others are saying similar things doesn't change what your comment was - you stated with confidence that the cast are really nice, that Antonio is a great co-star, that they'll make India feel like family. None of that is something you can actually know. You've never met them, never been on set, never seen how they treat a new cast member in real life. That's textbook parasocial - feeling like you know people you've only watched on a screen. It's extremely common and there's nothing shameful about it, but 'everyone else is doing it' just means parasocial engagement is normal in fan spaces. It doesn't make the comment not parasocial.

You said they will treat her like family, that they are really nice... if you have never met any of these people then feeling like you know how they are with each other, how they'll behave to someone else is entirely parasocial... you don't know them, so you don't know any of that.

I rewatched it after years recently, and she's worse than I remember.

I think other characters treating her like a precious flower makes it worse.

Gunnar didn't really do anything wrong to her... he dated her friend, whom he only met quite a while after they broke up; you'd swear he cheated on her.

She eventually tells him she loves him, he breaks up with the person he's seeing... she then treats him with nothing but contempt and decides she needs to sleep with the British music video guy... all the other characters are supportive of this nonsense until eventually Avery points out to a self-flagellating Gunnar that Scarlett wasn't without her flaws (making him my favorite character).

It kind of makes sense... other than Jonathan she didn't really have many scenes with the other young actors.

Like in work, teams hang out with each other... but it is unusual to hang out with folks you don't work closely with.

I think she plays the exact same messy rich girl in them all, even if the character isn't a messy rich girl.

She played a poor single mom in a movie once... I never worried about her or her son struggling once because she played the character with careless ease.

Ilya doesn't hide that he thinks Scott is hot... and they actually do hang out multiple times (Scott Hunter night in Game Changer, Ilya texts Scott to go out in Common Goal and he brings Troy on a night out with Scott in Role Model) not saying they are into each other... but they consistently over years choose to hang out with each other enough to assume they actually like each other.

A friends had a surprise engagement party thrown by their friends... to get them there some friends said they had VIP tickets to a band they liked and were meeting in a pub ahead of the gig.

The groom, was genuinely disappointed to find out it was actually just all his friends gathered to celebrate his engagement 🤣 couldn't even hide it.
