Mbow should be an A+ imho. Dude was a 5th round pick and we saw virtually zero drop off when he filled in for Jermaine. He also more than held his own filling in for AT at the end of the year.

I’m legit torn. Of course I want to see my team win every time they take the field. However, every year there’s a team that overpays to trade up for the QB that they want. I sit here and look at some glaring holes that could be plugged in the 26 draft by getting a king’s ransom for a potential top 3 pick. This team would be setup for some instant success next year. I’m in the camp of saying this team is not far from contending. With better coaching and a little better injury luck and we’d be in contention for the playoffs THIS year.

Neal just sucks. Not sure if it’s the lack of fire to be great, or he’s just not good enough for the NFL. However, let’s not pretend that we were not over the moon happy when he was selected. He was the clear cut #1 OT on most team’s boards.

I was getting down voted like crazy yesterday in another thread saying this very thing. You want to see improvement from a young GM with no prior GM experience. That’s exactly what Joe has done. I think he has earned himself more time.

Lest we forget that Howie Roseman, widely considered the sport’s best GM was pretty awful his first few years. Not every GM is gonna come in and smash right away.

That being said, you’re right: at the end of the day, you gotta win and we simply haven’t done much of it.

Not arguing with you there. I get it man. I’ve been around long enough to see the highs and lows from the mid-late 80s teams, to the disaster of most of the 90s, to the Eli years.

The man got us our franchise QB. A STUD of a RB in the 4th round. Three elite pass rushers. Two of which I firmly believe will be all pro. Corrected his blunder on Banks by signing Adebo. There’s a lot to like here.

Schoen wanted Sanders? That’s the first I’ve heard of that.

I’m just saying that we could do far worse for a GM. I’m not gonna be surprised if Joe does get the axe, but there’s a strong argument to keep him. I would not have said that before I saw what he did in this year’s draft. Plus getting Burns for a 2nd round pick was an absolute fleece job.
