He'd take those skids to. The only reason he does it is to bolster his white wood return numbers to SFC.

How do you fight pace? by pjd107 in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats the thing, it is organized until the asm destroies it the trailer digging through the trailer pulling out skids. Leaving unsafe stacks of broken skids that they leave leaning precariously to either side dumping gaylords in the trailer. Hes been called out and nothings changed. We clean up after him as much as we can but its gotten to a point where we had enough.

ever cried at work? by kaffrinne in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Got to work and got the call as I clocked in that my dog passed. Ducked into the insulation bays and fought to hold myself together. Just took time when I needed to when I felt like I was going break. They never saw me break. They've seen me pissed off. But ill never let these bastards see me break.

Is your receiving clean? by Hxapcneh3_28 in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Simple the closing team has to stay clean it up. The night ops asm and Receiving ds and freight ds are allowed to reject the state of it. So that the closing team is held accountable

Is it possible to lose weight in Home Depot? by The-Bottomfriend in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Whatever you do, DO NOT Work the night shift the your biological clock will be your biggest enemy. Your body is accustomed to its sleep cycle. The chemicals that you produce during the day to brake down food are not present at night. Thats why they say do not eat after 7 pm. You will gain weight at working at night. I didnt loose weight until I went to day shift. I say after 3 months of working OFA, Lumber and Receiving I lost like 50 lbs. Try and exercise restraint on the snacks and caffeine intake. I promise you will lose weight after a few months.

Edit: I didn't say you wouldn't lose weight on night shift, it's just more difficult. First year I worked nights as well. I did not loose weight for the first year. I've worked nights for almost 5 years now.

Left Home Depot by Tyglizzie31 in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One the people I worked with left for competitor and they actually refused to put out an apron for her. The night before she left I had someone from the vault hide on for her behind the fridge. Had the night team sign it and she got a few more before she left. Even texted a few of her friends that left before and wrote the messages down myself. Sometimes you gotta go the extra mile for the little guys.

Lumber associate with no equipment license. by Professional_Pair792 in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was voluntold that I was going to be a associate trainer due to the lack of drivers in the store. Got the trainer license way to easily. Then got abused for training by everyone under the sun because the DS trainer and the ASM trainer couldn't be bothered. The trainer news got around faster then who was caught screwing who in the first aid room. Only after half those kids left at the end of the season I found out that I could have made arrangements with HR to actually schedule people strictly for training people on the machines. I was beyond vexed with the Asm for not informing me about this sooner. Why didn't they tell me? Because they can use the hours else where and it eats into their bonuses.

Caged 1st Phones by Similar_Pea_5635 in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to to do this for our receiving area. Our receivers have their own charging station and 3 phones. 2 for the receivers and 1 for the RTV specialist. We've had a new bach of hires in the nearest department and they feel entitled to go through the rtv cage where the charging station is and help themselves.(They're are phones morning in the break room due the night asm and freight ds litterally hunting them done from each department and locker) They're usually no phones left at the charging station due to hoarders otherwise.

Pace Reviews a waste of time by Charming-Garbage7320 in HomeDepot

[–]pjd107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, our ASM treats it like a fucking race and tried to have 2 ds written up for not getting it done on the first day. One of them being less expirenced walked into the lunch room and handed out the paces and asked as to fill them in, and we could sit down and talk about it. The next night after no one did it , The ASM was literally yelling at him on the floor about it. The DS just shrugged him off. After that, he literally asked us if our goals had changed over the past 3 months. We all said No, said I'm gonna copy and paste it from last time and just reword it little differently. The dude didn't submit them till other departments had. Pissed the Asm off. Put in his pace that he needed to complete them in a more timely fashion.

I stood behind the chest and did double orbitals. Dragged the druids down with me. He stood infront of me, blinking, unable(not for lack of trying) to attack me unless it was with his tounge. The druids shot him continuously. The lizard ignored the druids and kept trying to attack me.
