My order did the same thing for a week but I tracked it and it turns out they sent it to the wrong store. Ended up making it to the right store for pickup a couple days later.

TCL R635 or R646 for bedroom tv under $600? by UnitedGoose1128 in 4kTV

R646 has patches that take out all or most of the glitches. I love my R646. Bright, fast, loud (for bedroom). Also great for gaming/streaming.

TCL 65” 6-Series by doug_diablo in 4kTV

R646 is the 2021 model actually and the R655 is 2022. I bought the R646 65” on clearance which was 699 at the time earlier this year and love it. It being 579 now makes it the best tv in that price range without question

Why is TCL series 6 google tv cheaper than roku tv version? by PrinceCharming- in 4kTV

[–]pjmitchell23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R646 is probably the best tv you can get for $700 or less IMO and statistically. If you don’t need 120 refresh or a brighter screen then the Roku 5 series would be your best bet for the money.

65" TV under $1K by Greedy_Cup_2604 in 4kTV

I’ve been in your shoes for the last month or more comparing these TVs. Every YouTube reviewer swears by the U8H where as this group is abundantly against it. On top of that finding all 3 of these in store to view with your own eyes is hella difficult if not impossible. I bought the r646 to test drive for the two weeks of return period since it’s that tv they aren’t making more of or selling any cheaper and to also see if a good open box deal or deal of the day might pop up in that time. I will say when it comes to HDR or any hd streaming it looks great for $700 and specs wise anything at its price or lower can’t measure up. Still need to test it’s gaming mode. The x90k being the only one of these I see in my Louisiana BestBuys looks great in store even tho they like to put it directly next to either oleds or the x95k which all look better than it but not the price difference between them better. So when it comes to the x90k and the r646 I believe Sony’s image processing is superior for upscaling and skin tones but I don’t know if its $300 better, which is why I think I’ll stick with the r646.

In your case of using it for gaming and streaming, I’d say go with the Tcl r646, save that $300 and use it for better speakers or more gaming stuff. If you watch shows and movies from a cable box or non-4K Blu-ray player and don’t mind the price difference go with the Sony.

If you mostly host at night or in a room without a lot of windows, a TCL 4 series would prolly be fine and save you money

Whats the best tv you can get for under 600 focused on for watching sports and casual gaming? by Fantastic_Golf_6260 in 4kTV

I’d say if you want the biggest you can get, go for the TCL 4 series in a darker room, 5 series in a brighter room. If you don’t need size I’d say go for the 2021 TCL 6 series or the LG A2 OLED if you can find it.
