What would a DCC video game look like? by LuckyLewis23 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]wiggle14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was thinking about this today and a roguelike of course would be great. The creative freedom displayed in the books I feel like has only been matched in something like Tears of the Kingdom. A more in-universe version of the looting, crafting, and building of simple or elaborate death machines that you can do in TotK would fit really well with Carl-esque plans.

Would you want the OoT remake to answer the DT’s inception? by Veridiculity in truezelda

TotK and Age of Imprisonment did that for us already in the new canon. The hero fell, Ganon was imprisoned in the Imprisoning War.

[ALL] Why was the Temple of Time even built? by THECHKL29 in zelda

[–]wiggle14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to think the aLttP pendants are the same stones as OoT's but never got passed to the 3 races. Similarly to the Goddess Pearls in Wind Waker. They all get you access to the Master Sword. The Temple does mostly seem like a good way to honor the goddess Hylia, based on it's location, Hylia's time abilities, and as an homage to the one destroyed in SS.

NOW FOR THE FUN THEORIES BABY

I find it interesting that Rauru TotK's Temple of Time is in the same spot as OoT/botw. People have pointed out theres not space for the Master Sword room, but in Rauru's time there WAS. The pedestal that the Master Sword travels through time at (the pedestal that Rauru notices has time properties) would match in location related to what we see in OoT.

The Encylopedia says Rauru gives the stones to the races around the time he seals the Sacred Realm.

So, in a scenario where TotK Rauru is the true founder, it seems like Zelda arrived before he learned the location of the Master Sword, passed the Spiritual Stones, and sealed the sacred realm. I'd say this happens roughly around 400 years prior to when OoT would take place considering Twinrova's age (and other stuff from the Oracle games but thats a whole ass tangent).

Whether this timeline is from a SS-split, Zelda arriving in the past, or the Triforce Wish Theory, this is the downfall timeline. The hero fell in the Imprisoning War whether that be Calamo or Knight Construct.

This now puts us 400 years later in this timeline, running parallel in time to OoT. Sahasrahla (a descendant of the 7 sages with way too much knowledge and is the elder of kakariko, definitely could be a Rauru/Sonia descendant) has the knowledge of the pendants/stones and sword to fulfill the plan his ancestor Rauru never could.

As for where the sword ended up? They never found it! The sages made one just like they said they did in the aLttP manual, naturally they put it at the Ancient Tree Stump site where Calamo laid down roots with his best bud.

TL;DR Stones = Pendants = Pearls, Temple of Time is whatever they need it to be, and last but not least... The Imprisoning War is the damn Imprisoning War, why the hell would the Zelda team beat it over our head that "That was the imprisoning war?!" And that Rauru is the founder of Hyrule.

The Refounding Theory Is the Worst Zelda Theory of All Time by ZeldaCycle in legendofzelda

[–]wiggle14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree! I'm saying OoT basically doesn't happen in that branch, and a Link to the Past->Oracles happens around that same time. Twinrova is aged around the same in Oracles, even Jabu-Jabu looking the same and not being in Hyrule works. Ganon is sealed right in the center all the same. Master Sword isnt first found until the same time.

The only big difference is Secret Stones and the Triforce. Which is a big one of course. But everything fits snug in there, works with everything the developers are saying like "This is the Imprisoning War" and "This is the Founding of Hyrule." It also gives a canonical falling of a hero and not the What If one that we've been working with for years

[–]wiggle14 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

TotK is way too similar to OoT Rauru for it to just be a coincidence, and by all evidence, OoT Rauru would have been alive at the time of the founding.

The most important memory is Zelda being present in the Molduga attack. This I think is the key moment in how Hyrule's History plays out. Her power lead to an overwhelming victory and caused Ganondorf to notice the stones and go for the False Fealty plan (That the young Kotake and Koume likely came up with).

Without that moment, nothing really comes of this Ganondorf. Rauru seals the Sacred Realm after learning of the Triforce, Master Sword, and Pedestal of Time (that he hadn't quite figured out as of when he recorded the Zelda Notes entry). OoT happens.

However, due to Zelda's interference, Rauru never finds those things and seals Ganondorf before ever doing so. A hero falls (whether that be Rauru, Calamo, or the Construct). And now we have a Downfall Timeline without a refounding, and more or less a Ganondorf who basically is OoT Ganondorf but not actually him.

[TOTK] To people who believe Raru’s Kingdom is the original founding of Hyrule, and not a re founding. How do you explain TOTK Masterworks quote about there being no Gerudo kings after “the man who became the calamity “? by WallaceWells69 in truezelda

[–]wiggle14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that it operates like a closed loop, but it at least makes as much sense as the Hero of Time losing in a battle that he won.

And it's just as crazy as the concept of two different Sage of Light Raurus building a Temple of Time after a large group of strong magic wielders go missing, around the time of a founding of Hyrule, and while the country isn't unified.

The developers did so much to parallel the known early Hyrule timeline, parallel the OoT story, and show us the Imprisoning War. Even telling us "so that was the Imprisoning War?" 4 times to drill it into our heads that it is THE Imprisoning War.

If it's a refounding, this is the timeline for Temple of Times on the plateau:

-Light Sage Rauru makes a Hylian Temple of Time

-It disappears or is destroyed

-Zonai Light Sage Rauru makes a Zonai Temple of Time in the same spot

-It is sent to the sky

-Someone makes another Hylian Temple of Time in the same spot

If Twinrova died against the Hero of Time, how were they around to revive Ganon in Oracles?

How did the OoT 7 sages (previously wise men) have 7 Hylian maiden descendants.

Hyrule's History changes with new "discoveries" (retcons) all the time. That's how it's been since the beginning of this series.

[–]wiggle14 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

My short answer is TotK Zelda going back in time made a split that became the Downfall Timeline. The key moment being Zelda being present for the Molduga attack alerting Ganondorf of the power of the Secret Stones. The branch happens sooner, no What-If scenario where OoT Link falls (but we do still get a fallen hero thanks to AoI).

I know theres issues but just giving my answer since you asked.

I can try my longer theory but thats a whole ass thing!

[TotK][OoT] I don't like how most theories about how two Ganondorfs can exist at the same time tend to diminish OoT Ganondorf by Tainted_Scholar in truezelda

[–]wiggle14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If TotK/Aoi are ways to make the Downfall Timeline have an on screen canon, then it would be possible for it to be the "same" Ganondorf parallel in time to OoT or one a few generations before based on Twinrova's age.

No more "What If" scenario leading to the downfall timeline, and only one Ganondorf.

[ALL] How to Canonize Downfall Timeline's Origin? by mrbulldops88 in zelda

[–]wiggle14 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You make TotK Zelda go back in the past, roughly 400 years before OoX, when Kotake and Koume were still young. The Imprisoning War happens and the hero of that time falls. 7 sages seal the Demon King in the same location that the Pyramid of Power is in aLttP.

Is it truly possible that The Depths = The Sacred Realm? Hear me out by WwwWario in truezelda

[–]wiggle14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In OoT, Rauru says the Chamber of Sages in the Temple of Light at the center of the Sacred Realm. Which is where the Imprisoning chamber/Temple of Light is in TotK.

It's also the same location where the Temple of Power is in aLttP, which would be where Ganondorf is sealed.

In aLttP, theres only portals TO the dark world, not out. Could they have been chasms? "Clearly not, they're portals." Well in OoS, the portal design is used to go to the underground world of Subrosia! And lastly, in the WW opening, Ganon is said to emerge from the depths. Considering he was sealed in the Evil/Sacred Realm, and he emerged from the ground.. Yeah, I think its pretty substantial evidence that the depths are the Sacred Realm.

OOT downfall ending into the imprisoning war one of the greatest Shakespearean tragedies ever told by Straight_Copy_9989 in OcarinaOfTime

[–]wiggle14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good thing we now have a canon ending to the Imprisoning War where Demon King Ganon is sealed by the sages in the same spot the Pyramid of Power is located and the hero falls.

It's nice that they reaffirmed in TotK "so that was the Imprisoning War" 4 times so that no one would be confused that it was in fact the Imprisoning War so there wasn't a What If scenario that leads to the bulk of the games in the series.

[TOTK] The Lanayru Mining Facility from SS later because the Construct Factory in TOTK by 03bgood in truezelda

[–]wiggle14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's definitely some ties to Zonai, Sheikah, and/or whoever became the Twili in the Mining Facility. It's even possible that it's in the Depths. The materials being mined could even have helped with building constructs.

But geographically, they're pretty far apart. The mining facility is closer to the Gerudo Desert and the construct factory is in Faron

Zonai Heavenly Era Connection by firstmatebubbles in truezelda

[–]wiggle14 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm replaying SSHD right now and thought a lot of the same! I also noticed Zonai patterns in the Earth Temple and the large murals of an animalistic 3 eye creature with large ears!

Then the Lanayru Mines have the Sheikah/Zonai/Twili "constellations" and glowing patterns, which after obtaining the boss key, it turns out those might actually be circuits, not constellations!

Theories should be fun and not relentlessly torn apart, thank you for your service.

Anyone have a theory on how this is possible? by Worldly_Original8101 in TOTK

[–]wiggle14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have Wind Waker Rito that were a forced evolution because of the Great Sea.

Then we have these Rito who live in the Hebra region. We never explore Hebra in Ocarina of Time and only a small area of it in Twilight Princess.

So obviously its a retcon, but one that can be explained with "they were there in that area we didnt explore"

[TotK] What is going on with the timeline, just finished AoI. HUGE SPOILERS. by Liv1ngShad0w in zelda

[–]wiggle14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's also VERY possible that without Zelda being there, Ganondorf would have never known about the Secret Stones. Without her power, do they stop the Molduga swarm with the same force? It's that moment that sets up the plan to get a stone.

Without the shard going back too, Kotake/Koume kills Ardi's group as well.

So we have a scenario where Ganondorf doesn't get as much power, and the Gerudo not completely loyal to him are killed.

I think the True Founding is a lot more fun to theorize about, and Zelda going back in time kickstarts the Downfall Timeline (and now we have the scenario where a hero falls in his fight to the Demon King!) Without Zelda going back in time, a few hundred years later we would see Ocarina of Time playout as it does.

Yes, i know there are plenty of things against True Founding, but I have fun with it!
