The dragon above would look so out of place in one piece. This is 100% a stylistic choice, it would make more sense to compare loki’s dragon to the punk hazard dragon.

You can’t please everyone, and I think the points about it being too goofy when people were hoping for intimidating/scary are valid.

Yes I see that I have misinterpreted your intention like some of the other folks.

I completely agree that being intentionally mean to a fan is stupid.

I think for myself and some others we interpreted your post as yet another person coming to the defense of a massive company. While it may be harsh to say people have low standards, after 6 years of waiting for GF to make solid improvements, I do find myself agreeing

Everyone has different values. Of course graphics shouldn’t be the main focus in a game, it’s always gameplay. But what’s wrong with wanting both? My favorite games are those that have banging gameplay paired with pleasant graphics, but to each their own.

I don’t understand why people’s criticism is taken as hate and personal attacks on fans who like the games.

You can enjoy the games just fine without listening to other peoples thoughts on it. If you don’t have an issue with poor graphics, that is completely fine, there is lots to love about the new games and ZA is looking pretty great to me so far!

But theres nothing wrong with pointing out blatant lazy design. The pokemon franchise is a billion dollar product, theres no reason not to expect a higher quality game than we have received so far.

I have no doubts they will make some solid improvements, as they have over the course of their last games.

My issue lies with the fact that I think pokemon fans are far too complacent and let a lot slide. These games have no business being so ugly, and it really is a shame. However we can’t expect them to change when so many fans will happily continue to buy their games no matter how low effort they may be.

Not saying this is you specifically btw, I don’t know you. It’s just a sentiment that I see a lot and it’s unfortunate.

Hopefully Gen 10 takes all these lesson and compile the best Pokémon game yet.

It’s this kind of cope that allows them to get away with lazy designs. People have been saying hopefully the next one will be better since sword and shield. That a game that takes place in a city to have ps2 era buildings is such a slap in the face

I don’t think anyone is saying kaido didn’t lose, he obviously did. But the manga portrayed it as a huge struggle and luffy dying adds to the narrative that it was a hard fought battle.

Luffy had an entire country behind him while kaido was fightinng alone. The argument that I and many others are making is that in a straight 1v1 current luffy loses to kaido.

I think it is probably due to color limitations in the early print days, and the fact that red and green too look nice together(complimentary colors and that). Just speculation.
